It’s that time of the month for the one and only SOAC Profession Tournament, this time our fantastic podcasters and tournament travels across the ocean to the wonderful old country (someone needs to get Bas a ticket to Europe). We are leaving Bas and Pyro behind on the good old shores of NA (though Pyro has threatened to use his EU account), and allowing our favorite EU Podcasters to help run the tournament.

I believe I have you scheduled to coach unless one of the EU top players volunteers. They are tough to get replies from since it’s a massively different play time.

example im r40 but since at start there were only hotzergs, my skills are definetly lower than like nemesis r27

This is an actual tournament and not a tournament queue. A rank 40 player has a skill level usually that would destroy a rank 25 player. If you ahve a group of rank 40 versus rank 30 or lower players, the odds of the rank 30 or lower are almost nil

Thanks for clearing it up Bas, it still looks intresting but I am not sure if my connection will be healthy midweek,on 1v1 it wouldn’t matter but I don’t wanna hang people

Lol training sessions or… for this tournament ?… If we can get some training sessions for this tournament, that would help a great deal, but it has to be all of us.

Tactics + team play > solo skill each time…

Im just concerned that we might not have a full team on the actual day lol. Some practise would be good, but im also fine with blagging it.

I’ll be up for practicing be good to get familiar with each others builds.

The thing is on the 19th my guild will be doing guild missions starting at 8 PM CET, and they mostly do them for me… cause i can never make it on sunday at the appointed hour…

If we can do the tournament like an hour and a half later or maybe anytime sooner that would be very good for me.

Am I the only one not surprised by the results so far ?

I am a bit displeased with this event as a whole… I never met some of the people i played with before, and 3 of them were under rank 15… which would make you sort of a beginner…

We got teamed up against mostly rank 35s and 1 rank 40… which was against the rules in the first place. If i knew it would be like that i would have gotten Blood, Nash and Shiva in my team… but i didn’t, since they are higher then lvl 35.

I don’t mind… but putting commoners in the same arena as gladiators proves nothing… and if it does prove something to someone, sureee… buff necromancers… buff them now, buff them tomorrow buff buff buff.

edit: One thing that isn’t related to the team i was in… was the fun times i had being attacked by 4 ranger pets (that we all know it’s useless to try to kill them… switch FTW) while the rangers weren’t even there… Those pets chased me all over the map…

I wish i had some form of continuous damage that goes after players on the entire map… that would be awesome…
Necromancer may be good for PvE, but in PvP it’s not quite there yet… it is and remains the only class that if focused by 3 players = dead every time. Any other class if focused by 3 can escape if not on CD.

I think if we took the proper time to prepare we would have come out better, as far as i am aware there was only myself and fhenrir who played together pre-dating the match.

Agreed that the rank difference was ridiculous, the whole thing felt kind of rushed and off the bat. If we do this again (and i would like to, had some good banter with you guys tonight) we should definitely play a few games together beforehand so we can synergize.
