Should Chill and Cripple affect teleports?
Well teleportation (although it does not exist in the real world yet?) is the ability to move yourself through space without the burden of a physical mass. Without getting technical it allows one to disappear and reappear a set distance away instantly leaving the former “you” erased from the physical world. To this end it make complete sense as your former self no longer exists and hence neither do the conditions placed upon it; your new “you” however will retain these as they were taken along for the ride as it were. I know that may not be very clear but suffice it to say that it works rather logically even in a fantasy setting.

I think they were able to teleport an apple or something across a room a while back. But they said that the necessary processing power to deconstruct, store, move, and reconstruct a human atom by atom has not yet been achieved.

Did not know that, however, if they were to freeze said apple with liquid nitrogen it would not teleport slower. As this is a new science to me, I cannot be 100% sure, but logically a teleport destroys the original in the process and hence chilling it would not matter.
Atoms, not apples. Nowhere near the ability to teleport an object visible to the naked eye yet.
What is this? ScientistWar2?
Back to the topic, it is by design choice and not once by logic or anything. Burning while in the water? Leaping while you are bind the to ground? Screaming “Fear Me!” can save you from Skull Crack? Immobile in mid air?(see what I did there?)
It is the same reason some moment skills are unaffected by either boon or condition. Ex: Ride the Lightning, Burning Speed… .
Huge leap from an atom to an apple lol.
I don’t think teleports should be affected no. They use magic to instantly move you to the final location, whereas chill/cripple affect your physical movement.
It’s a qustion of balance, not realism, which frankly has no reason to be considered here.
From the necro point of view, if teleporter were effected by cripple and chill, that would be huge progress towards letting us actually hold people in combat.
No they shouldnt. The mechanical different between leaps and teleports is that teleports arent effected by snare conditions. Although some leaps do ignore cripple and chill. However they dont ignore immob.
