Should Dagger 2 work like DS 4?
I think it would make it more useful as it is right now I just pretend like d 2 does not exist and thus, I never use it unless by accident.
This is a case where I would say “no.” Right now, there’s counterplay options to Life Siphon that aren’t there for Life Transfer, which is fitting with it’s drastically lower cooldown and effectively larger “heal” most of the time. Once you started casting, facing doesn’t matter, but it does for the start. At the same time, someone who stealths before you start casting is safe.
Really, the only thing Life Siphon needs is a cast time reduction so it doesn’t utterly kill DPS.

The question is, is it worth having a 1 target pbaoe? Would 3 targets make it OP ? 3 targets but only 1x healing?
The best answer is to cut the starting cast time of the channel. Then speed up channel or add more targets if needed, but currently the skill is simply too big of a DPS/LF loss.
Most were hoping for faster channel animations with the feature pack 2, but necro just doesnt deserve the good stuff apparently.
So I can heal myself for 20k in a teamfight or against anyone with pets? That would never be broken, not at all.
But yeah, Life Siphon is fine as is as far as its healing, it just needs to be a shorter cast time.
Thinking about it id love to see our dagger 2 perform more like rangers rapid shot does now. I think that would make the skill more viable to use. It just has such a long cast time I dont both with it nor does it feel rewarding enough.
Id change it into a 1 target tether skill that siphons life for a certain amount of time. Second cast would be a shadow step / gapcloser to the target, ending the tether, this way it gives a purpose for the healing aspect and increases the ability to stick on a target on demand for dagger autos.
health siphon is the by far the worst sustain in the game.
What you are suggesting sounds to me like a decent buff

Dagger 2 Life Siphon
- does so-so damage at certain range
- gives a little bit HP
- channeling skill
- +400 armor if you’re channeling(trait)
Overall, that skill should be AoE + recover more HP, since Necro doesn’t really have much of a chance to grant itself Heal boon.
That should be fixed, because dagger is actually a close combat weapon which is risky, so should be more rewarding anyway.
if they channel time got the rapid fire treatment, it would be overall a lot better.
