So I got my Necro to level 63 few months ago, to be honest, back then I found it quite, well, uninteresting (maybe because I leveled up only by crafting and never experienced everything). Now, after playing my Healway Guardian for last 5 months I want to try something different. Something that’s both useful in PvE and in WvW.
My other level 80s are Glass Cannon Thief and Semi-Zerker Warrior.
I know that Necros are good in WvW, however I’ve heard and read that Conditions are absolutely pointless/weak in PvE.

This is only the case if you mostly play in large groups(or in small groups with other condition-based builds) because the way that conditions stack reduces your overall damage contribution compared to direct damage.

If you mostly play solo, it’s a non-issue.

This. I found my Condimancer very boring. Switched it up to a DS-Powermancer and love it.

Everyone always underestimates conditions in PvE, for any class. Even though they’re so powerful if used correctly.

There is no “the build” for powermancer. Anything, with focus on physical damage is a powermancer.

Spectral shroud build with soldier’s. very hard to take down, while constantly dishing out 4k crits with life blast. Axe/Focus is mainly because of boon removal. Can run Dagger offhand for condi removal or dagger mainhand for immob, if it suits your style.
Many powermancer builds are death shroud builds.

It’s a rather crude well build, but it will certainly be the last one to fall, while providing protection and nice effects for the team.
If you ever find yourself going to PvE with this build drop well of corruption for well of suffering and switch out focused rituals for weakening shroud.
Still, there are better well builds out there, but it works for me.

Not doing much PvE and especially not much dungeon content, so my builds are typically not the most effective dps wise.

It is more of a DeathShroud build, with 85% crit chance while inside DeathShroud and can hit 4k+ with Life Blast. I take high Vitality and Toughness to make it that little bit harder to kill and the Vitality helps with Deathshroud

This is the build I am using. This Powermancer isn’t the top damager, but it can withstand a lot of damage. I am normally the last man standing at dungs, and it works well on PvP and WvW. I recomend you to try it.
