I am running all shouts in Verdant Brink and they still feel weak.

The number of mobs has to reach 4-5 before they feel stronger, including the heal, but then death is certain. The scaling could use adjustment. Wells or Spectral skills feel so much better. Perhaps it is because I am more experienced with them but the only shout that felt worth using was Chilled to the Bone, and that was for the damage and stability rather than the nearly non-functional chill.

I’d tripple all the damage values. Wells hit so much harder and gave protection with siphons.

The insta cast on some of them is nice now. I said it before though and still stand by it the shout trait needs some kinda extra feature like every other shout trait in the game.
Resounding Timbre Gives regen and swiftness 10 secs on shout
Vigorus shouts heal and grand adren on shout
Pure of voice turns condis into boons on shout
Tempestous Aria gives might to allies and weakness to foes on shout
All of these give reduced cd like necros as well.
Or they just need to reduce the cd’s alot on necro shouts so when the 35% kicks in from the trait the cd is really short. Right now the heal works like this.

I agree with Chuck, Augury of Death trait needs an additional feature to make it more appealing and rewarding than a straight-forward cooldown reduction. Not sure what, but I’m certain Robert can come up with something.

Edit: Maybe add a condition with the trait so any foe struck is crippled? Could be useful without being overly strong.

PET PRECISION & DPS TESTS -OUTDATED-
Will update once Path of Fire releases.

The shouts need more incentive to use them, especially in smaller engagements.. I feel like I’m just spouting hot air when I use them against one or two enemies.

Honestly the shouts seem way more pvp and control minded than pve damage, and that’s probably the point, I’d wager. Because boy they ain’t as good in PvE but almost all of them have an interesting place in pvp or wvw. Still, I definitely agree with Chuck’s suggestion, I’d love to see the trait add an effect.

God knows the necromancer needed more PvP utilities instead of the few PvE ones it had.

Apparently epidemic, corrupt boon, wells, minions, and spectral skills are not pvp-centric enough.

Gotta make it ALL pvp utilities.

I agree with all of this. But I’m scared we’ll lose sufficient scaling against high groups if we up baseline on them to accommodate low target numbers. If we can avoid that and do the things you suggested, we’ll be in good shape. I felt like they were vastly improved over first release.
