So, I’ve logged my Reaper (Power build) gone to do sole LS3… Entered my awesome shroud… and sat like that, jaw dropped.

Autoattacking is more valuable than Reaper’s Shroud #4. What the hell. Since when? What have happened?

Dagger 1 is only slightly better, if I recall correctly, but beyond pure damage, Reaper 1 is still better because it gives you might if you’re running spite (all power reapers) and it procs blighter’s boon with it. Dagger gives you lifeforce, and hits quick and hard, but it has shorter range and hits fewer enemies.

Also, Tarreth, R4 has a bit of extra use too. Use R5 beforehand for some chilling bolts to boost damage, or drop GS 4 to get leeching bolts which do now heal through shroud. Gotta know the utility my friend

… What chances does power reaper have anyways now…? Nothing is working well…

There is always the option to use Dagger and Reaper Shroud to get both

Plus the fact that RS1 also gains life force for each foe hit on the third strike. If you have groups of enemies, it can sustain your Shroud for far longer than it should last.

Also generates poison and whirl finishers which adds value, and has a higher target cap. But yeah, necro power values are weird across the board.

Tbf, after the buff to Life Blast, Death Shroud is imo better for Power Necro as far as PvP goes. Reaper Shroud is for Condi builds.

I noticed the buff to ranged damage on Life Blast, too.

I took the Viper’s raid setup I used in Bloodstone Fen to Tangled Depths and messed around with it adding both Dhuumfire and Terror while dropping Master of Corruption and slotting Spectral skills for a wierd hybrid build. It was only partially functional but smacking mobs with LB, Terror, and Dhuumfire with extra duration sure felt satisfying.

So then I dropped Spectral Mastery for Fear of Death, swapped Spite for DM, loaded up on minions, went scepter dagger and axe focus and played a while with a core hybrid MM. Somewhere along the way I got lost but my minions carried me while I goofed on LB.
