I know this isn’t a “huge deal” and more QoL, but its something that has been kind of annoying me a bit, more-so with reaper as I find myself using shroud for auto damage more frequently than I would with Death Shroud, but its still annoying either way.
Would it be possible to make it so that going into shroud doesn’t stop auto attacks so swapping could be more fluid? This goes both ways, dropping shroud also cancels the auto.
Not sure if anyone else notices this, but it just gets a bit annoying honestly, when (afaik) no other swaps do that, including kits and attunements.
Again, it’s not a huge deal, just clunky and annoying more than anything.

Also leaving shroud really needs to not interrupt any skills. Its really annoying starting the cast of executioner scythe or deaths charge only to run out of lifeforce and get rupted. Not sure why it was ever added. There wasnt really anything broken about DS skills carrying over outside of shroud was there?

I agree. Its part of (not the whole reason) Vital Persistence was basically a must for Reaper. The amount of times I had shroud drop on me mid-cast became infuriating. Though I noticed this was inconsistent, I had a few times it would finish an attack when it dropped (mostly auto attacks). I hope that gets changed up a bit.
As for the video of what I’m talking about. In the video I didn’t re-engage attacks between weapon swaps, but I had to each time into and out of Shroud. Very annoying.
Oh yeah thats annoying how it doesnt auto re-engage with auto’s. Noticed that as well.
It wouldn’t be so bad if it reset the dagger auto, but it doesn’t. Shroud in general needs to just function as a weapon swap that also swaps your HP bar.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but weapon swapping cancels an attack, IE you are in the staff1 animation and swap to dagger the staff1 won’t complete instead going strait to dagger1 start. DS is doing the same, although not continuing the auto attack engagement which is strange.
Something to note is that kits do not work the same as weapon swaps, you will continue the attack if you swap a kit or drop a kit, however if you “weapon swap” to “drop” the kit it will cancel it.

There might be some confusion.
I’m referring to the part that it completely cancels your auto-attack functionality. Weapon swapping, you will continue attacking (granted, with a different attack) where as swapping into and out of Death Shroud turns off your auto attack.
It’s mostly a convenience and an annoyance factor than anything, it’s just frustrating when you expect to still attack you find your auto has stopped because Shroud doesn’t function like a normal weapon swap which maintains your “auto attacking”/“engaged” setting.

Aye I hear ya, I’m more saying I don’t think it should cancel the attack or the auto attack lock. I don’t understand why it should work differently than kits, maybe just me though.

Players were getting a nice transfusion heal by activating DS4 right when shroud was about to drop.
I don’t think that’s OP, and the cancel (which should be unnerfed for Lich Form too) was a harsh over nerf.
