Hey guys, trying to maximize my build and dps, like most of us, and developed some questions. Currently I am sitting around 40% critical, full Viper armor, Krait runes, Rabid trinkets, viper weapons. I have over 100% bleed durration (trying to maximise the wasted stats). But I use Sigil of Earth and Bleed 20%.

I believe I could drop the 20% and still maintain 100% bleed, but I thought about replacing both sigils with Condition dmg 6% and condition durration 10% (forgot the names… malice and…) my question then is, will I lose or gain dps based off the sigil of earth bleeds, or will the 6% condition dmg make up for it? This is all assuming I maintain the 100% bleed durration, and other factors remain the same.

Last I heard, though I haven’t done the math so it may be off, that Earth was better than Bursting (6% condi damage) IF you have max bleed duration. Geomancy though is where it’s at if you can reliably get in close. I believe it’s something like if you can just get half it’s use you’re best with that (one swap every 20s).

With Krait at 45%, armor+ weapons viper giving you ~21%, trait 20% you’re at 86% there, toss on even mediocre food and you’re at 100%, so you should be able to easily drop the Agony Sigil (20% bleed). Malice won’t help your bleeds with all that going on so it’s not needed. You could go with Geomancy/Earth or swap Bursting instead of one of those. However your poison damage will not be as high as it could be, and that’s a good deal of damage.

Thanks @Jerus.4350. That brings up another thought. I was thinking about just replacing the 20% bleed for 20% poison. How much dmg does poison account for (roughly) in our condition builds?

I haven’t done the calculations so I’m just going off what I’ve been told, so I don’t want to throw a number out that will probably be off. But, bleed is the majority of the damage as far as I have heard and can tell from my own play and short tests. Poison is nice for burst though with RS4 and possible poison bolts and overall in a long fight it does do a fair bit of damage, however I don’t think you’d gain as much from extending that 20% as you would from getting say 6 extra stacks of bleed from a maximized Geomancy Sigil or even the 6% bursting sigil.

So not something worth focusing on, but not something to ignore either.
