I believe the signet needs more….

I would say add 2 stacks of Torment for 10 seconds, 3-5 seconds of Immobilize.

I would also add 2-3 seconds of Fear, however, that would defeat the purpose of Immobilize.

I think chill, torment and confusion would be nice additions to the active. Its like the condi equivalent of save yourselves which gives all boons except aegis and stability. So surely signet of spite should give most condi’s. Obviously exclude burn, fear and imob to prevent it from being completely op. Honestly id be fine with removing bleed entirely if they replaced it with confusion or chill.

I always thought of it as a skill which synergises with target the weak. But the amount of condis is too little to really make that synergy worth popping the active. And the condis it gives are usually already on the target so its kind of pathetic for power necros to use it for the active.

Yeah, Confusion is a good idea too. I didn’t even think about that. What, like 5 stacks of confusion sounds good?

This skill already has a ton of covering conditions, it really doesn’t need more.

I’m not usually one to disagree with buffing a necro skill, but buffing this would be unbalanced.

Perhaps I’m simply unfamiliar with the posters involved, but this has to be a joke. Every time Signet of Spite lands on someone, part of me deep down feels bad. Adding more to it sounds insane to me. But maybe that’s just me.

OP probably died after this was put on him. Makes no sense to put an immobilize on top of a cripple.

Realistically, you are looking at 3kish damage over 15 seconds with this skill from a condition spec, and less if the guy is running some sort of hybrid. Some classes have heal skills with less than 20s cooldowns, so this skill is really easy to recover from by itself.

So the damage isn’t too bad, but the poison effect on healing, weakness, blind and cripple put the player in a situation where he can’t really save himself from being spiked, barring a clear.

A player taking this skill is usually very bursty. Absorb the hit, heal up, (go out of combat if you have to, the necro can’t really chase), then come back and hit the player who is out of one of his moves.

I wish there was a good replay feature in this game. Most of the time, when you die to this skill you have already made your fatal misplays (overextending, blowing your cooldowns, etc) and this skill just helps set up the spike that finishes you off. If the use of signet of spite doesn’t kill you, he is out a skill for a minute.

Its already strong i just feel the conditions should be less common conditions. Replace bleed with confusion and cripple with chill and maybe poison with torment. Thats my opinion on it anyway.

In keeping with the theme of this thread, I suggest it should push and pull too.

When I get that feeling I want… spectral healing.

I don’t know…. maybe it should toss your opponent in the air, high enough to take… 15-33% fall damage? This would open use for that fall trait on all classes.

The actual success of the troll is not the people that respond with “…what”. That’s like saying “The sky is red”, and someone responds with “No it isn’t”, which you follow with “OMG LOL TROLED”.

The successful part is others who are like “Yeah, it should add X and Y”, and they’re serious about it.

You could pick any 6 conditions with reasonable intensity/duration values, and it would be an incredible signet. Any single permutation.

Personally, I would trade the Bleeding for Torment, though reduce the stacks/duration so that it matches the current expected damage output. Necros apply enough bleeds anyway, and it might help discourage all of that bouncing around other professions seem to do. It would also add some play to the skill since by not moving as much, opponents will take less damage.
