Signet of Vampirism worth buying?
Lich Form is by far more valuable. Don’t bother with Signet of Vampirism until you’re swimming in skill points.

I can see this being true, but only for the most optimized of dungeon parties.

Keep in mind, folks, that if we only run Consume Conditions and talk it up, it will get nerfed.
Well of Blood has been nerfed and did not deserve it while Ele’s Geyser continues to be far stronger than the original WoB was. Most of Necro heals are weak, now, except for Consume Conditions. Lots of DS time and small heals or regen’s seem to be where the developers want the profession. Condition resistance in PvP is the main focus for the class. It is almost as if the developers keep Necromancer around just to remind other professions that conditions do make a difference.

I wish people would stop being so hyped about Consume Conditions. It is our best heal, but it is not good. The full clease just makes it somewhat less lame than all the others.
The reality is, necros have the worst healing of all classes. Every main heal deserves a huge buff, including CC, every healing trait deserves a buff (maybe even add more healing trait options), but most importantly: all sources of healing should go through Death Shroud, which is probably the biggest reason why Vamp Signet is total garbage.
Also, even if it was possible to siphon through DS, the healing of Vamp Signet should at least be doubled since – unlike the warrior’s healing signet – it triggers on hit with about the same amount of healing and still has a 1 sec cd. So it would only ever be reasonable to take this signet over other heals when you are able to take a hit without actually losing hp: in Death Shroud.
And here’s the next problem: signets don’t work in DS. Yet another no-brainer that hasn’t been fixed since release.
SoV was only great between the time someone in WvW discovered that gates would melt when the necro targeted it with SoV until Anet changed how it worked on gates.
If you’re choosing between SoV and Lich Form you don’t have to think, choose Lich Form.
If you’re choosing between SoV and nothing it will take longer to decide. After all, SoV could become useful sometime in the future….nothing will always be nothing.

Craft the crossing or any other weapon in mystic forge and turn 50 SP —> 50 gold.
Then until signet of bad becomes usefull, you will have farmed enough new skill points to buy it.

Its only useful for condi necro solos. But you arent using it for the heal when doing that. You are using it for the 6 might it gives (signet mastery + aristocracy runes).

Please explain how Consume Conditions or Well of Blood is better than the heal that increases DPS in a game mode that’s all about DPS.

Not wasting time to cast a heal is better DPS. You can run Blood Fiend and fire off a single life blast for significantly more damage in the same time.
If the Signet did NOT have an internal cool down it would be a fantastic DpS gain for organized groups. Optimal?? probably not, but at least it would be a step in the right direction for a PvE necromancer.
However Not having a internal cool down would cause some pretty nasty balance issues in PvP if I remember correctly.
so. That being said. Signet of Vampirism, As Spoj has stated is only usefull for Condition Necromancer Solo’s for the might on signet activation. Which begets the question of if it would be usefull for power solo’s as well?

this to the millionth power, sig of vamp is a waste of a healing skill slot
Well of blood needs a bit of love. Could use a higher Healing Power coefficient. I only run it because I have other means of conditional removal and am built for wells.
SoV is only useful if the heal slot is hardly ever used.
WoB is now only useful in a stack that does not want fire or other fields. It is too weak for me to use, anymore, outside of Jormag. The nuisance factor of the light and dark fields is a serious problem. I think wells should be redesigned to not include fields. I doubt other professions even care about them. Necromancer cannot do much with them.
