Signet of the locust speedup in combat?
Just tested it in the mists and the 25% buff should apply in combat.
If you want to verify it for yourself i suggest doing the following:
Attack a golem or npc in the mists, walk a bit and activate signet of the locust. By doing so the passive movement speed buff will go on cooldown.
You should notice a significant decrease in movement speed.
Apart from that i heard that signet passives tend to bug out if you get out of deathshroud since the january patch(which also brought in the delay on utility skills after exiting DS) but i could not confirm this for myself
It definitely still applies in combat. People just don’t think it does because they forget how drastic the slowdown from out-of-combat to in-combat is.
Out of combat, no speed buffs is 300 u/s. With Signet of the Locust, it is 375 u/s.
In combat, no speed buffs movement is 210 u/s. In combat with Signet of the Locust is 262.5 u/s.
You actually lose more movement speed when you enter combat if you have the Signet equipped than not, so the greater difference leads people to believe the signet doesn’t function in combat. You still have a very noticable mobility advantage over your opponents, though.
OK, that makes sense and confirms what had been by intuition. The person that had told me otherwise seemed so convinced it made me doubt myself
Thank you for those responses!
