Guild Wars 2

Hey everyone!

Due to increased life responsibilities mixed with a bit of external curiosity (other games, hobbies and so on), I’m taking an extended break from GW2. This has nothing to do with the state of the game, and isn’t tied to any big rants, so mods, don’t take this as a bad post. My only reason for saying so on the forums, here, is because I wanted to give a farewell to the great Necromancer community I’ve grown to love and let you know I’ll miss all the deep balance and design discussions we had!

In general, I think we, as a community, did pretty great with Reaper in making it a fun addition to the Necromancer (though base Necro still needs some updates, particularly in Shroud), so I’m glad we came out on the other side looking good. I was looking forward to Reaper, and I’m sure I still will whenever (if ever) I come back, so keep up the good fight.

Anyways, I just wanted to let you know I’ve enjoyed the company and it’s been fun, but I have other stuff to tackle for a while. Good luck and keep reaping!

I have always appreciated your presence in-game and on these boards. You were the one who got me to seriously consider the necromancer as a profession, and it has remained in my main rotation since then. Best of luck in your endeavors.

Pce dude, enjoy whatever you go on to do, we all need breaks sometimes.

Don’t really know u much, but i agreed with most of your posts. Have a nice break and maybe one day ill see you back on here .

Awww, its true what they say, the good necromancers always quit the game young. You will be missed for sure, but we’ll be able to raise you from the dead as a jagged horror (or shambling horror if you’re lucky) when and if you come back

I don’t consider it off-topic. If it was a rant thread, sure, but I’ve played the game for 3 years and spent a lot of time here on the forums and have some great friends here that I don’t necessarily talk to in-game, so forum friends. After talking to some of these people almost daily at points, its nice to give a farewell to the community you’ve spent a lot of time with. I’ve valued the time spent with many of the forum goers, so it was nice to give a quick good-bye and talk to them a bit before I go. Nothing wrong with that.

I did something similar last September when I quit the game for like 8 months. I think it’s perfectly fine. At that time I just got so busy with real life and was disappointed by the underwhelming necro buffs at the time, so I felt like the post really helped me to express frustration in a healthy way.
