Silly Menders build.
Why Axe/dagger and not staff?
Why not Chill to the bone? I get the minion trait you took but Rise pretty much takes care of that fairly well.
Have you tried corrupters fervor instead?
Also why not runes of the monk? The extra heal on heal skill is pretty fantastic when you got a short CD heal like Your Soul is Mine, especially with the shout trait.
Axe/Dagger is mainly to maintain Quickening Thirst, regardless of weapon set. The main reason why Unholy Sanctuary instead of Corrupter’s Fervor is that condition application rate really isn’t that high while Healing Power is.
The main reason why I picked the runes I did was extra team support and extra Blighter’s Boon life force. Each time you pop your heal, it’s 9-24% life force gained.
Chilled to the Bone of course works just as well. It can go either way.
You might find sigil of renewal to be very complementary to LfD.
Yes, I like to combine blood magic with weakness, protection, and shroud healing, too.
It is still susceptible to hard CC and lacks ways to evade or negate damage without a constant supply of life force and practically living in shroud but Necro can be a tanky, slow healer.
I was thinking of something like this on necromancer but with sages instead so you can still cheese people with condis.
Menders necromancer sounds great though, but healing as a necro is just kinda invalidated by search and rescue taking the niche, and Druid in general.
Taking a break from GW2 to play various
Nintendo games..
Unholy Feast is pretty fantastic with Blighter’s Boon, and the retal can really wreck some other professions like thief. Staff isn’t needed for regen when dodges are proccing Marks of Blood, and you still get a condi transfer from the o/h dagger.
Have Rise minions been changed to transfer conditions with Necromantic Corruption? They weren’t last time I tested.
The concept of healing on Necromancer has always been a fun thought, it’s just that it gets outclassed by everything else, and being so suboptimal isn’t really that fun.

Necro self-healing is fantastic. Healing others…well, it can work, but there are better choices.

My point exactly though; it’s not a matter of self-healing, it’s a matter of group healing and utility, and in that department Necromancer is simply outclassed.

Played around with it a bit tonight. Definitely fun =)
I’ve tried it too. Fun build can troll peoples 1v2 for longer even win one 1v2 yesterday with this build at foefire far. It’s nice and all till you are not very heavy focus target. After that the build is not optimal. As you doing zero damage and also can’t do any heal on your allies. It’s has good 1v1 potential but fights takes longer and have good survivability in 1v2 ( especially if there is no mesmer )
