Guild Wars 2

I played Guild Wars 2 from release, then quit after the Karka release to try out other games.

I returned just shy of three months ago to the game, hoping I’d find the little gem I had left behind, and for the most part I did. Let my just say, Necromancer is my thing, the whole theme the mechanics, I love the profession, I have 3 different characters and all are Necromancers and I loved GW2 for giving me such a profession to play.

During my 3 months of playing I fell in love with the game again and my Necromancer and hoped the game would pretty much banish all urges of me wanting to go play a certain competing Japanese MMO who just launched early access to their expansion.

But after 3 months of enjoying the profession, enjoying the game, getting used to the weaknesses (oh and hell are there a lot for necromancers) there is suddenly this patch due out with all these changes quite a few of which are in my opinion devastating nerfs.

Look, I don’t pretend to be the most skilled player on the planet or an amazing PVPer so I wont speak for other people, I’ll speak for myself, currently with Necromancer? I feel like things are balanced, we certainly do not feel like the strongest class, but even just reading these changes is making me go off PVP. PVP is my thing, thats what I enjoy in this game, logging on and doing PVP and my reward track over and over.

All I’m saying is, I’ll try it when the patch goes out, but I already have a feeling the changes are going to frustrate me, make me die constantly and will end up driving me off the game, just a shame is all.

Sorry to see you leave. I hope they fix the nerfs. Personally, if the nerfs aren’t corrected, I’m going to switch back to my ele.

i was hoping he wasn’t at first. But…100% serious. Quite a fitting song for the thread, ironically so probably. Everyone that has gripes with how necro is right now(myself included for a very long time) will play the living kitten out of Reaper and they know it.
