I Am NeXeD awful d/D ele NA
Been running this build a lot since the patch, think i might be on to something. Amazing 1v1 ability. Excels in group fights. There are a few things i tweak depending on games with WH vs D oh and a few traits.
sry if someones already posted something exactly like this,

Already running this build but different ammy and a few different utilities. Same as the build I posted ages ago when they first announced the changes. People were to upset about CC changes to actually give me any feedback or ideas though.
The build trait wise had some extreme synergy and because of the siphons, blood bond and innate tankiness you don’t die fast. Don’t miss the soul reaping line at all. Something to note as well I believe the signet heal and its corruption can’t miss like thebohet signets. When the corruption of stability is fixed it will be even stronger.
I think I’d rather run this with Well of Suffering* for a little extra damage. Condis aren’t really a major issue anyway.

you can use oh dagger and run Woc or Wos. but your losing group support and a stunbreak LF regen some vamp procs and an interrupt.
Also condis seem to be the biggest issue I’ve had since the patch.
also hoelbrak runes seem to be a better option

Looks pretty good.
Why sigil of generosity? With 4% crit that is what? 1 out of 35 hits will transfer a condition? You have 3 ways of sending them already and a conversion. Maybe something else?

Get fury and crit chance increase per condi with traits, it’s got a 10 second cooldown, with the amount I’m hitting it’s proccing close to every 10 seconds. I change them out when I think the other team won’t be crazy condi heavy. A good alternative for me is usually leeching or intelligence. If you are still worried about crit chance being an issue and still worried about condis you can use purity, bUT I Garuntee they will proc close enough to the same amount the transfer will be worth it.
Also the plague signet passive can become problematic without generosity I’ve found.
Just to be clear this build is only for PvP, I do not design my builds to work in pve or wvw. You can also use cele for this build but I’ve found I’m usually better off being super tanky and just relying on transfers to kill your opponents.
Tried the build out in AG tourney yesterday and I was so hard to kill, we played the top ranked team and we got our kitten kicked but I thought the build itself being extremely effective especially since our team was just free agents.
Given your condition damage is low, I would think Path of Corruption is a better choice than Terror.

It is and it isnt, I’m usually sitting at about 20-25 stacks of might with the build, the terror is really planning for when the signet will corrupt stab. My fears are still hitting for 1000 after the fights been going for 10 seconds or so. That’s one of those things you can swap, but I don’t find the corruption necessary with all the corruption I already have.
If they ever fix th stab corrupt it will just be crazier. Also with terror I also occasionally manage to transfer fear.
Here is the pure necro bunker build I am running. Its pretty awesome. I ran something similar before the patch.. its just much stronger now.

Spazza, seems really tanky and no damage, do you use this specifically for holding points? I would imagine you focus on team aid and bunkering only with this, right?
Yeah that’s just a pure bunk, although I would argue my build will actually survive longer and dish out way more damage.

Yes its a point holder build. I don’t do much damage by myself. I only can really do damage if I am fighting other condi builds. The amount of team support that necro got this patch is amazing. I burst 3k heal when coming out of DS to teammates. Not to mention the healing well is now viable due to some passive condi removal (shrouded removal) and cool down reduction with the merged trait.

I agree your build does more damage than my build. But you will not survive longer than me, especially in 2v1 fights. You have 0 healing power, Low DS generation (most classes can out kite your dagger 1). Your build has a higher chance to survive a stealth burst from a mesmer/thief combo due to more HP though. Your build does look like a solid build though.
Healing power scales like kitten, it’s one of the reasons I opted for soldiers over clerics or cele. The build still works with both of those though. In fact I’m probably making beter use of siphons just due to my weapon choice and I’m proccing weakness a decent amount on people.
ds regen is fine d/w is about as good as it gets. I didn’t have trouble building lifeforce before the patch with d/w staff and I still dont.
Honestly I see zero point in using settlers since almost 100% of your condi damage is going to come from staff 4 and dagger 4 And transfers don’t use your dmg, also you are taking a trait that turns toughness to power. absolutely zero mobility means you couldn’t kite even if you wanted too.
I guess if your only goal is to not move from a point it could work…. but then the other team just ignores you until they wipe your team and kill you, if your in a teamfight point holder that’s cool you’ve got medium group heal every 10 seconds and they need to be close which they probably will be anyway.
I guess I just don’t see the point in an immobile wet noodle that is still going to die vs a slightly more mobile tank that can actually drop people.
I would bet anything if both builds did a 2v1 test the soldiers ammy would come out on top 9 out of 10 times.
I find the impact of Vampiric Presence hard to evaluate. On the contrary, Banshee’s Wail buffing LF generation from a 10/30 uptime to 15/24 is crystal clear, and I feel that the 3 sec (4 with mesmer rune) daze greatly helps securing a kill.
Please share your thoughts about those 2 traits.
im using VP, but yeah i think its a little lackluster, but gets better the more teammates you have with you i suppose. I was using traited warhorn before the patch and its possible i go back to it, i wouldn’t use the mesmer runes though..
