Solo PvE necro build?
If you think about PvE outside instances, don’t underestimate Condition build. Good one with Epidemic is probably our best tool for soloing stuff, does much better with groups of enemies than Power builds and doesn’t really lack any damage compared to Power if fight takes more than 10s. And traited right on world events can heal for abyssmal amounts, outhealing pretty much every world boss or champion.

Minions are good and also Wells. With minions you can use scepter and stay in the back. With wells use dagger or axe or both. Try different builds and pick the one you like the most
Necro is actually much more group oriented than solo from what I noticed so far (tested Daager/Warhorn + Staff, Axe/Warhorn + Staff and Axe/Focus + Staff). Or I should rather say – one VERY hard enemy (so stacking large number of condis and using Signet of Spite makes sense) or group of weaker enemies. The more of them – the worse for them, as necro can control crowd very nicely.
Unfortunately on early levels there is big lack of skill points, so I can’t really try many things ;_;

You misunderstood me. I meant it can fight kittenload of enemies, and the more of them the worse for them as Marks, Wells and pretty much everything necro has is AoE. And hits pretty badly.
Ah you meant group as fight group of enemies, not group as party. I got it.
If you play open world PvE like silver wastes, alyways run epidemic, no matter what build.
Epidemic is the strongest spell in the entire game in a situation where you have big enemies and a lot of small fry around. The bigger the enemy the bigger the bleed/burn stacks.
Just copy a 200+ bleed and burn stack from a champ on a bunch of veterans in silver wastes, it’s bonkers. And the best thing is, it doesn’t matter what stats or build you run, epidemic is always worth it. Enjoy it before it gets nerfed into oblivion.
I am curious how you solo 200+ bleed stacks. Last time I checked, that required an entire zerg, in which case the enemies around die from cleave just by looking at the zerg.
Anyway, in my experience MM beat out wells in solo PvE. You can take on champions, you can solo dungeons, do pretty much whatever you want. Wells arent bad, but that downtime between them is a problem. For MM, mobs are easily distracted by them. You can take on 20 mobs at once and still win the so-called “fight”.
Not to mention, MM looks the coolest when running around.
How much better was the gw1 MM. You couldnt just sit back and auto attack. Need to buff/debuff/heal your minions constantly and run around trying to survive.

Could you please post a link to an actual build? I’m relatively new to the necro and haven’t encountered yet anything similar to what you describe. A link to a guide (if exists) will be also appreciated.

Could you please post a link to an actual build? I’m relatively new to the necro and haven’t encountered yet anything similar to what you describe. A link to a guide (if exists) will be also appreciated.
The first part of my post refers to rather standard Rabid (or Sinister if you have gear) Condition S/D Necromancer with 3 or more Corruptions including traited Epidemic, second part is about possible situation when you need healing – then you switch Lingering Curse to Parasitic Contagion and try to spread conditions stacked by others on high hp pool mobs like Champions to other mobs. Considering PC heals for 10% of that condition damage, has no limit and because burning is so ridiculous you often deal 40k+ DPS (which translates to 4000 healing per sec or more) with that Epidemic on other adds, it’s pretty unlikely you will die even standing in poison and fire fields, facetanking, whatnot. It requires one “stacked” target and couple others and that’s why you can take advantage of it mostly on huge events. By just yourself in AoE situations you should be able to reach 500-1,5k HP/S, too.
Not like today that healing counts, but might in the future.
