- Join WvW
- wait till one enemy team attacks the worm (whatever its name is)
- sneak to it
- target the worm
- hit epidemic
- collect 20 bags or more

Sounds interesting — what conditions does the worm have? Going to check this out tonight, maybe I can finally get a kill in WvW

The worm has no condition, its the zerg that stacks every possible condition on it to kill it and because the worm and the other factions in WvW are enemys you can spread it back to them.

Epidemic is also incredibly funny on Guild Claimant or Tower/Keep Lord NPCs within WvW. Really turns the tide of a battle when a whole group practically puts 25 stacks of bleed, vulnerability and a hude stack of every other condition known to Tyria on themselves. Then try two Necromancers both hitting Epidemic on the same target.

Conditions have maximum numbers of stacks :-(

Had a follow up question and sorry in advance if this isn’t the right place to ask — but let’s say I put on conditions of:
poison for 6 seconds
bleed for 8 seconds
on 1 foe. When I hit epidemic, do the conditions that spread to other foes start w/ poison/bleed for full 6/8 seconds — or does it only have the time left from when I actually spread it? (let’s say I hit epidemic 4 seconds after I cast bleed — will the full 8 seconds transfer or only 4?)

You can also target a Guardian that is buffed up like the is no tomorrow, Cast Corrupt Boon and then Epidemic and see the lil numbers fly.

They are at the exact state when you used epidemic. So if one of the bloods only has 1sec left on your target than 1sec bleed is sent to all.
So to answer your question only 4.

Corruption boom is really bad, nothing become a really usefull for its cd.
I corrupt a warrior with 22 stacks of might and it become 1 stack of some useless condition, instead of 22 stacks of bleed.

so a question about stacks of bleeding:
say you get a mob up to 8 stacks of bleeding
does the timer that is around the icon for those stacks apply to all of the stacks, or just the last one you put on?
I’ve been noticing when I try to stack bleeds on a mob that stacks keep disappearing before the timer runs out… or is it just another bugged necro mechanic? = =

I’m glad someone said it. Other people claim this is our best skill and paired with epidemic we are viable. This can maybe be said for tournaments which I don’t do.

the timer is the last stack put on

so the #1 stack in a stack of 8 bleeds can expire before the timer that is shown does? man that is misleading :\

Might gets converted to weakness, it only stacks once but 22 stacks of might = 22 seconds of 33% reduced damage, imo not useless. Regeneration converts to bleed.

So you removed 22 stacks of might of a warrior and complain?

Aye, and your Corrupt Boons will be blocked by his Aegis or just fail for no reason like this spell almost always does..

Problem with Corrupt Boon is that it doesn’t do anything / misses over half of the time.

Weakness makes it so half the time, their abilities do 50% less damage and cannot crit.
If you think that’s weak, you should play a warrior, cuz clearly you’re just interested in damage.

Last I checked Well of Corruption converts 1 Boon every second for 5 seconds. So not so great against one Gaurdian with a million of them up. ^^
Corrupt Boon on the other hand…
When you win the lottery, and it doesn’t fail.

Tooltip: Target area pulses, converting boons on foes into conditions, says nothing about converting 1 at a time, and even if it is I never had a problem taking on guardians using it. Unless they come charging at me with a hammer, and then summon a spirit hammer, but that is more of a case of i can’t kitten move when i’m being knocked down thrown 500 ft away from where i was previously faceplanted and then have the same effect repeated by whichever one didn’t just previously do it to me lol.

Actually weakness makes it so half the time, NON CRITS do 50% less dmg.
So basically if you have 0 crit chance, you will basically do 25% less dmg on average (50% chance to do 50% less dmg).
If you have 50% crit chance (not uncommon for most power builds) that’s only 12.5% dmg reduction on average.
Then there’s the fact that it does absolutely nothing to condition dmg. So basically weakness is only good against power builds that have no crit. Even then only 25% dmg reduction.
They really should change weakness to just be a flat 25% dmg reduction overall crit or not.

Fine so I read part of it wrong, but you still forgot to add that it slows the endurance bar, meaning less dodging which again leads to taking more damage and being easier target for combo’s, in pvp, that’s comedy gold.

so the #1 stack in a stack of 8 bleeds can expire before the timer that is shown does? man that is misleading :\
It’s not really.
Stack 1 applied for 8 seconds
2 seconds pass
Stack 2 applied for 8 seconds
2 seconds pass
Stack 3 applied for 8 seconds
2 seconds pass
Stack 4 applied for 8 seconds
At this point, there are 4 stacks of bleeding, and bleeding will wear off in 8 seconds. Not all of the stacks will be on for 8 more seconds, but 8 seconds is when the target will stop bleeding.
2 seconds pass
At this point, the first stack has been on for 8 seconds, so it wears off. Now there are 3 stacks of bleeding on, but you still got full damage out of the first stack, because it was allowed to last its full duration. Also at this point you auto-attack again, so:
Stack 5 applied for 8 seconds
Now you’re back up to 4 stacks for the next 2 seconds. If you keep auto-attacking, you’ll maintain 4 stacks. However, please don’t rely on auto-attack to do all of your damage. Also, these numbers were made up to illustrate the point, so they don’t reflect any of the actual weapons we use.
