Q:

Sometimes when I cast Spectral Grasp in sPvP I’ve noticed that sometimes it completely misses its mark or it will act as a knockdown instead of a pull. Especially against the Thief NPC in Heart of the Mists. Although, I’m also referring to actual players I’ve fought against in SoloQ. The range is 1200 and I am usually well within range when using it.

Is this a known bug? Thanks for any help. :-)

Yes, like any projectile, spectral grasp can miss (even without dodging) this is indeed intended (though i wish the projectile was faster or simply harder to dodge without a dodgeroll).

However this doesnt mean spectral grasp itself is working as intended. As you said sometimes the pull becomes a knockdown. This is a bug and i think the reason for this is in some terrain you target simply gets stuck on something.

Sounds a lot like Scorpion Wire for thieves. I find that if the pathing of the pull isn’t clear, it will just be a knockdown. This occurs most often in Skyham when you use it just outside point A or C. Teleports from beyond the breakable floors to the point often glitch out as well, so I think it’s a terrain issue primarily.
