Here’s a suggestion. Being in a spectral state should prevent forced movement effects like teleports, launches, and knockbacks.

The reason I thought of this is because the necromancer lacks any mechanics that help deal with the Vale Guardian’s teleport, so you have to use a dodge roll every time. Seems kinda lame considering you can tank this boss with a chronomancer and be more reliable at avoiding the teleport due to blocks/dodges/evades… once again being superior to actual damage mitigation.

Then I thought, this would be a unique mechanic that would fit the necromancer really well. When you go into a spectral state you should just ignore all forced movement. If the other classes can enjoy more mobility, we should get the opposite. Not immobility, Immovability. Turn a weakness into a unique strength.

Stability doesn’t stop forced teleports like the Vale Guardian’s blue circles which means the only ways necro has to avoid the forced teleport is to dodge roll.

It would be less powerful than stability in every other situation, but it would be interesting and useful nonetheless. Well, it wouldn’t be based on stacks or vulnerable to boon removal so in some situations it would be amazing.

Interesting idea, but regarding Vale Guard, it’s rather easy to strafe out of without using a dodge. But maybe you have bad ping.

If you keep him close to the wall you could just dodge roll into the wall, or strafe out of it. Even if you dodge away, it’s not like he’ll move significantly.
