Spectral grasp outclassed?
We do, its just that necro projectiles tend to be… slow… and kitten with terrain.
No, I mean a decent pull skill… Spectral grasp fails if the target coughs, farts or smiles…
I don’t use it because it is not reliable. It misses too easily. It is often “out of range” even when it should be in range. It doesn’t pull the foe all the way. It is bugged so randomly you yourself gets pulled forward instead.

Because different classes, different skill?
Also, into the void doesn’t have nearly the pull distance that spectral grasp does, nor does it guarantee the direction of a pull. I find the skills to be useful in different circumstances: one is for dragging a mob directly to you, one is for interrupting a crowd and throwing off their position.
Edit: Oh nevermind you’re just taking the opportunity to poop on spectral grasp. Then I’m done here.
It’s pretty obvious, and nobody’s impressed.
Its not just spectral grasp. Thieves scorpion wire is just as bad, and all that one does is pull the target. No added chill. I’ve had both skills actually hit its target only to have the target just fall down in place and not get pulled. Then theres the random misses, obstructed, target gets pulled only half way, or just flat out failed skill usage when the projectile should have hit. I’m not talking about obvious things like when the target dodges or jukes the projectile. Those are legitimate. I’m talking about when the projectile hits, or should have hit, and just flat out doesn’t work for the reasons listed. Its not very reliable.

Spectral grasp and Scorpion wire (even worse, it doesn’t give light force (epic typo, will leave it here) or chill or anything) are kind of a joke when you compare them to into the void.
Since it is a mersmer skill, it being a light field giving aoe swiftness to your allies, while crippling your enemies and allowing you to pull them all in a desired location RELIABLY at will while having a shorter cd than those two bugged underpar utility skills is only natural.
I forgot you generally wouldn’t even see the wall more than 0.1s before being pulled while those two utilities are projectiles meaning they are easier to dodge.

you forgot the projectile block :O
and ‘LIGHT force’ … … really?

thats always the case when the projectile is reflected. then you get pulled and chilled instead of your target.

Happens with Dark Path as well. Its always funny when they teleport to you instead of you to them. But you still get the chill, not them. :/
I pretty much always combo a boon strip from spinal shivers (dagger #5) before grasping, gives you a better chance at working. Corrupt boon before is best of course.
