Please note the following is from a PVE/WvW DPS perspective, while I acknowledge PVP is awesome etc, the purpose of this thread is to discuss the highest obtainable dps that can be used in a PVE setting and applied to WvW

Here’s the build I have been working on for a couple of days

http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fQAQNArYbjMaN7pbub87JCJFP7aQKevtieQMjlMA

Weapons: Rabid
Gear: Rabid
Accessories: 3xRampagers, 2xCarrion, 1xRampager back – provides 50% crit
Sigils: MH: of blood, OH: of corruption, Staff: of battle
Runes: 2xof strength, 2xof the fire, 2xof hoelbrak
Rotation: Scepter 2, dagger 5, BiP, dagger 4, dagger 3, epidemic, swap weapons, staff 2, staff 3, staff 4, enter Deathshroud, 3xdeathshoud 1, deathsroud 4, exit deathsroud, 1xstaff auto attack, staff 2, Swap weapons – REPEAT

This build was altered from Trafalgar’s original build. It provides a whopping 80% duration on might

Now as you can see that is a rather cumbersome rotation which makes testing it against the conventional 6xundead conditionmancer spec that much harder

Now I am interested in comparing it to the ‘consensus’ and I use that term lightly conditionmancer PVE spec:

Consensus Build: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fQAQNArYWjMaN7pbub07JAJFPfNkie1N6BxGnMA
Variations: 10/30/20/10/0 (with blast finisher), 20/30/10/0/20 (with soul reaping/unyielding blast), 30/30/10/0/0 (with well of corruption) or 0/30/30/10/0 (with focussing crystal for maximum cond. dmg at the expense of other traits)

Weapons: Rabid
Gear: Rabid
Accessories: 3 x Rampager 2 x Carrion, Rampager back (any gem) – provides 50% crit
Utilities: 1) Plague signet or Bone minions or Corrupt Boon or Spectral Walk/Spectral Armour (Lupicius) or Well of Corruption (Build dependant), 2) BiP 3) Epidemic Elite: Flesh golem or Plague (situation dependant)
Runes: 6 x Undead
Sigil: MH of Earth, OH of agony/of corruption, Staff of corruption/of geomancy
Rotation: Scepter 2, dagger 5, BiP, dagger 4, dagger 3, swap weapon, staff 2, staff 3, staff 4, epidemic – Repeat

I am looking for theorycrafters and or DPS maniacs to test this out, The question is whether the gain in might justifies the loss in cond damage from undead runes

Thats the exacy same build I put together 3 days ago when I completed my rabid set. The only difference is that I use undead runes (gives condi dmg with toughness) and chrysocola jewels.
I still need to get the weapons with the right stats (I can’t decide between carrion and rabid).
This build rocks both in PvE and WvW as i can take a camp on my own with epidemic + round kiting crippled/frozen enemies.
I also win every 1v1 (1v1,5) fights.

I will copy my answer from the other post, since it fit more here!

At Least the signet is a stun breaker.
But you seems to work a lot with the staff (lots of trait buffing the staff), but you choose to traits for a 10 sec 3 might (around 85 cond/power) over a traits that gives 10% increase damage with every staff damage. It also mean you are using a bugged signet with the same effect then you your #4 dagger (not countaing the stun breaker) every 60 second.
I’m really not sure man, but it’s all theory. Might work better in practice, but with what you are sacrificing for 3 might, not sure at all.

Don’t invest in spiteful marks as condition damage build you will get more damage out of the flesh golum doing 30% more damage and if you go that path I would drop the signet and pick up another pet wurm/shadow. Give them 50% more health or faster cooldowns keep greater marks.

Regarding the question: Does the gain in might make it better then the base condition damage from undead runes. You might find something very comical perhaps a bug if you test BiP or any might generation with conditions. I have been using it gives that little boost that has moved me towards condition builds away from power, I still use undead runes or 3/6, 3/6 setup for 30% longer bleeds but BiP never leaves my bar.

For PvE IMHO nothing comes close in DPS to a berserker dagger necro. I get 4k crits easily with auto attack, about 8k crit for the whole chain.
