Staff Marks Not Triggering
Marks activate even if the target doesn’t move. The situation you are referring to are enemies that are somehow labeled to not trigger marks ie the claws in the ground/turrets/objects you can attack.
Had no problem triggering my marks on dragons but they definitely don’t work on turrets/claws.
Yellow mobs won’t trigger marks, no matter what you do, until they turn red. Things that never turn red (walls, turrets, etc.) will NEVER trigger your marks, and that’s a bug imo. The tree in TA is especially frustrating.
hmm. Well as far as i know the claws are always red and marked as enemies. And I’ve ran into other mobs that act like that.
One of the more recent ones is a boss/world event in Whitland Flats. Its a giant golem that doesn’t move. He sits in the middle of a platform. I couldn’t get any of my marks to trigger on him.
Also, when fighting Shatterer. Maybe I’m doing something wrong in this fight. I usually try to put the marks right under its front feet and have yet to see them do anything but sit there as he stomps on them repeatedly.
The marks not triggering on “yellow” characters makes sense, even though yeah it’s a bug. It’s just different from what I’m experiencing.
Also bosses like at the end of Sorrow’s Embrace, The giant golem, should be tweaked somehow or maybe the marks themselves. Because even with the trait that makes them bigger and unblock able you can’t get them to trigger on him because you can’t see his feet.
Yes i could just swap weapons, but i shouldn’t have too. All fights should work with all weapons and skills.
