did you hear a rumor this was going to happen?
I wondered if something changed.
I got into a Aetherblade fight that should have been routine but my DS dropped much quicker than I expected.
I also feel like Life force generation is a bit more difficult than before.
I don’t know for sure if there have been some adjustments, I really hope not. Constant tinkering with this class is very annoying.
I’m testing this in the Heart of the Mists. It doesn’t appear that our DS was reduced to “true 60%” this patch.
One interesting change they made was that you can mouse over your DS bar to see what % of LF you have left. I could be wrong, but I think that that’s new. It’ll make calculating our LF much easier.
EDIT: Yep, still seems like 120%, at least in Heart of the Mists.

That’s not new, I’ve been doing that for a couple months now.
Huh, I never noticed. All the same, makes the math easy.

I just got into the game tonight and noticed my DS didn’t seem to last so long now. Was going to post here but see it is already there. So first they take the absorption factor away so damage bleeds over, now they make it more fragile too. REALLY?!
The DS crit trait might be bugged (noticed it during gauntlet when trying different builds for a 5 handicap ooze fight), down to being like 20%~
DS on the other hand still SEEMS to be the same, if youd compare the damage normal veterans to with the current content.
If you’re doing the Jubilee content, it may seem like you’re losing DS quickly but that’s mostly just because the mobs hit so darn hard. Also, I think the effects culling system is going overboard because a lot of the damage is hitting without any animation at all.
When I was doing CoF and HotW earlier, my DS seemed normal.

I agree with Blaine, you might have been doing the pavilion mobs where they hit hard, and some hits might instantly down you. Another thing is, if you aren’t critical hitting that much, check if you have weakness on you. Some trash mobs, i think pirates, throw weakness condition.

Since SW was changed it hasn’t mentioned life force gain, so this isn’t new.

Those that have are reporting that there was no change in death shroud. Everyone that thinks there was is going off of a feeling.
Though more testing is good.
Easiest way to test Deathly Perception is to get 50% crit chance out of death shroud, then just hit things a lot with life transfer and such, see if any hits don’t crit.

Since June 25 patch:
Spectral Wall: Normalized the amount of protection gained to 5 seconds for allies. Replaced the vulnerability with a 1-second fear when enemies try to cross the wall. Added 4% life force gain on hit. Increased the recharge to 45 seconds. Reduced the base duration to 5 seconds and 7.5 seconds while traited with Spectral Attunement.

After that patch i do not see any other patch saying life force gain is removed ? But i think the tooltip is just bugged

Good grief.
Took all of 10s to test. Spectral Wall generates 4% LF per hit as before. It’s just a tooltip change.
Now, anyone care to test LF HP values?

What I was referring to was the tooltip, the tooltip didn’t say anything bout life force gain.
