What is the point of this trait if we can’t stomp while in DS?

You can stomp in shroud. You just have to time it right.

Deathshroud and then Interact button .01 seconds afterword to stomp or rez in deathshroud.

1. flash in and out of DS for stability to heal without being interrupted
2. go in DS when u are out of endurance and u see a hard CC coming

I don’t use the trait but if I did in WvW I would use it to break to the back line of a zerg while I have DS 5 and 4 going.

Talking about Shroud Stomp, is it considered an exploit?

I mean, we’re obviously not supposed to be able to do that since you can’t start a stomp in DS and DS normally interrupts a stomp, so I’ve never bothered to learn it thinking it’s a bit like thieves glitching through walls with shadow steps. Then again, it seems a bit odd we can’t shroud stomp while every known form of invulnerability allows it, and DS isn’t even invulnerability.

It is indeed unintended seeing how it interacts with stomping in general, people that manage this stomp are likely to use a macro on their mouse (F+f1).

I wish they would make it so that we can properly DS stomp. Many people use weird exploits in stomping, such as the one where you teleport/shadowstep/etc.. far, and then come back right before it ends.

It’s not that hard to pull off a shroud rez/stomp. I do it even though I don’t have Foot in the Grave, and I don’t use macros.

That being said, this “trick” has been around forever so I doubt that anet sees it as an exploit.

You dont need any macro to shroud stomp, but it helps to re-assing your hotkeys so that entering DS and stomping keys are close to each oter.

Since necro uses only F1 u might want to assing stomping at F2.

You can easily practice it at the tutorial in HotM, i m sure u ll get it right within just a few mins.

We should be allowed to res and stomp through DS without having to resort to an obvious exploit. Thieves are allowed to stealthstomp, Eles and Engies can stop while invulnerable, and just about everyone else has better access to Stability for stomping, too. DS stomps and rezzes would be totally fine.

I use a mouse button + keyboard to pull off Shroud Stomp. It helps me do it quickly without having to set up my fingers for it.

just a case of practice. I use 1 for DS and F to interact. very rarely miss time it.
