Hello, nearing level 80 soon and I’m a bit lost on what to focus on at the moment.
I normally switch between.

1) Bloodmancer healing build with staff / dagger & focus. Condition wells for support + avatar of melandru. (unsure on what set i’d use for this build)

2) Power / condition hybrid using staff / scepter & focus. Well of suffering, blood is power and epidemic with plague or hounds of Balthazzar. Most likely using a mixture of berserkers and a condition set (could you reccomend one?)

Are healing support builds effective enough for necromancers to be helpful(wvw + dungeons in mind), or am i better aiming for damage?

No healing support builds are all that viable atm… You can make it work don’t get me wrong but you’ll be more effective using things like “life transfer heals allies” with a power/condition build…… It’s still around 290 heal per pulse with it in a 600 range with a full healing set it only goes up to around 350-400ish tops but to get this you lose out on damage which helps your party complete things faster… In wvw it works if you’re sticking with the zerg since you don’t “have” to deal damage but you won’t get badges or tags just supporting allies…..

You can try to go pure condition/healing but I’ve not tried it enough to give any real opinion on it.

Healing support builds are not presently viable,+healing does not apply to vamp traits

Well support builds are viable see Xyi’s post on guru forums

Alternatively there are power and conditions and hybrids there of – lots of dicussion on these forums

Cond will serve you better in aoe situations
Power in single target situations,

Each has strengths and weaknesses
