This would be really fitting. It is a big attack that is single target and it literally has the word “execution” in it. Personally, I see no greater problem with this than the one with thief, so as long as nothing is taken, I think this would be a cool addition.
Why does it need to be a finisher? What sort would make sense? It’s already a big Ice Field, which is crazy strong, especially with all the whirls we’re getting.
Finisher in what sense? It can’t be a combo finisher, it already leaves a field, and it already is an execution, it deals more damage than backstab under 25%.
I think he means finisher as in finishing downed players. The new daredevil’s elite does that.
They need to add… a new finisher… Called… Execution finisher! Thanks, hire me. Could put it on Warrior Sword 3 as well (Execution finishers only trigger against enemies with 50% health! Who knows!)

Personally, I do think it’d have been fantastic if it stomped. I mean, necromancers are already one of the worst “stompers”, so this would be kittening sweeeeet. But if they did it they’d probably kill the Cooldown… so meh. :/

Personally, I don’t think they’d need to automatically increase the skill cooldown because saving this skill for a stomp prevents you from using it in battle until someone drops. Also, thirty seconds is usually half of a fight, so you might use it once for chill and once for kill
Except Reaper brings two ways to stomp pretty reliably.

I seriously think this should have the instakill on downed players instead of the daredevils elite…but that would make it ultra op. It’s ultraop on daredevil too though.

I guess that’d work. Would give a unique perspective on how to use it. Everything about it though screams that it should have this functionality to me. It’s slow, it has a decent cooldown (could easily be longer when it finishes), and it just sounds bad kitten . :P
I want to say that I can legitimately hope the devs could add something like this without nerfing the rest of the skill, but so far, I can’t. I think they should tack this feature on in one of the Beta Weekends and balance it if 30s cd proves to be too much.

The thief one is on a 40 second cd so how do you feel about that ?
I like the idea but honestly i really do but part of me says I don’t want it to do this. Doing this means we have to give up something else. I think it should sit as it is.
lol so there’s a downstate player and i just waltz over and RS 5 on him and bam instantly dead. screw cleave, you’re dead instantly baha. The daredevils is a elite first of all, and second it has to be chained in the consecutive hits.
I mean don’t get me wrong, I’m all for this idea but it just might be over the top.
Oh man, those buffs Reaper is going to have for the next BWE better not ever get nerfed if this is what they plan to do with Daredevil.
This makes sense to me. Flavor wise, its on the nose so. And its still got a rather long cast time and long cool down so I don’t see why not.

What would be amazing is that if we got unique stomp animation, similar to Dhuum ban It’s pretty kitten visible and if Revenants are getting dodge fluff, why shouldn’t we get some awesome finishing animation for rolling the Reaper?

Have to agree, this would be GREAT. And you also can not use Exec scythe to finish of the fight itself if you want to use it to finish, which means a lot of burst being gone.
100% agree with this. I do like the idea of increased CD ONLY if it kills a downed player. It’s a single target attack anyway (contrary to what it may look like). It gives a choice between do I want to down this guy under 25% health with a big hit or save it for when he’s down and get him out of the way.
I mean we are THE Reaper after all, I think it’s fitting!

Speak for yourself. I didn’t care that other professions got torment. I cared that we have so little access to it.
As for us, We haven’t gotten an new technology added to our profession. Everything we’ve gotten was already in the engine. Sure, allot of its great for us, but they haven’t pushed the boundaries of what we could do at all. They’ve been extremely safe with us. Which is bothersome when they’re taking major risks with other professions.
Edit: I’d like to correct myself. We have gotten new tech on one ability. Transfusion. Teleporting other players against their will was completely new with the Revenant and we were the first to get that.
