[Suggestion] Blood magic grand master trait
I like the idea alot, though I think the numbers would have to be so small for balance purposes.
I know not many agree, but our siphoning is quite good at the moment if you spec fully into it and this would be pretty OP in my opinion coupled up with full minion siphoning and permanent regen, especially as minion builds generally run axe/focus and dagger/warhorn which are great at building LF.
for condi builds it would be underwhelming, power builds would be another story.
maybe a slight modification to your idea would be any LF generated while in DS i.e. life transfer, enemy deaths etc will also affect your actual health pool for the same number or less dependant on balancing.
this would bring a new dynamic to DS knowing that when your minions or enemies die you could pop DS to heal up etc.
Just a thought.
In fact MM almost never go 30 in blood magic. It’s way more interesting to go 30 in spite or Death magic.
MM build are mostly : X-0-X-X-0 where X is usually 30 or 20.
- 30 in spite grant tons more damage
- 30 in DM grant “utility” (combo field or boon removing)
- 30 in BM grant condition resilience
A MM necromancer is better up supporting it’s minion then going in DS which support is limited.
Also I’m against the idea of being healed through DS, It would be a totally unskilled gameplay while being sustained by dancing in and out deathshroud is a bit more rewarding for active gameplay.
Orrr something like: Each time you generate life force, steal equal value (numerical) from nearby enemies, Each time when you wifesteal nearby allies (but not you) gain the same amount of hp, you know… some offensive support… no? no. ok…

I disaggree the necromancer is the only class that has such restrictions for their only defense. Stances, bocks, evades, stealth,… allows someone to be healed when they are defending. It should be the same for. The only thing that comes even remotely close is the offensive skill quickening zephyr but this an offensive skill.
The idea that Fetid Consumption isn’t taken is completely false. You can remove 6 or more conditions every 10 seconds with this trait alone, and that is very much worthy of a GM slot.
It is far more rare for an MM to go 30 spite (why the hell would I go 30 spite in a full MM build) than 30 BM. And 30 BM is roughly equally taken to 30 DM.
