[Suggestion] How to fix condition builds.
Another idea. This wouldn’t be a skill, but instead an effect added to all conditions.
When the current target has a condition that is capped (25 stacks), the condition will explode and instantly deal the raw damage of how much the condition was suppose to do over time.
I find it sad and disappointing that condition builds don’t have a place in PvE at the moment, but I have an idea that might fix the cap problem, so hear me out.
How about a skill that eats conditions? What I mean is, using skills that place conditions on a target, then using this skill (which would be a utility) that would devour all conditions on the target.
This utility skill would remove all conditions on that target, instantly deal the remaining dot damage, and amplify the damage based on how many conditions were devoured.
I forgot the name of the skill, but the Scepter weapon has a skill similar to this concept, except it doesn’t remove conditions.
What do you guys think? Sorry if my concept isn’t clear enough.
Don’t forget to think about what happens to the wvw and pvp side of things if this is introduced :P

How would it negatively affect wvw though? I don’t see any problems with it so far.
Because the skill would do enormous burst and would probably rival the burst an actual power build were capable of?
It was the same issue in WoW with Warlocks. For the first 2 years or so the only way to play a Warlock was as a Shadow Mage. Even though you’d invest up to 30 pts in the Affliction tree, all you ever did was spam Shadowbolt all day every day.
To resolve this, Blizzard had to redo their entire stat system so DOTs could crit, be hastened, etc. Raiding in a top tier guild as an Affliction Warlock was a lot of fun once they got it working though.

Set up a condi build with a lot of +Condi duration and check out the tooltip damage of one skill. It will say something like 6k damage for one skill or something ridiculous, this is because no-one leave 5 bleeds on themselves for the full 10 second duration without clearing. I could essentially 3-shot someone if I stacked enough +duration into my gear of your idea was implemented.
This would be quite funny though because people complain about Condi builds damage without complaining about power builds hitting 13k with one skill, but at the same time although increasing Condi builds damage output exponentially it would also mean we are doing huge direct damage rather than our ‘mindless Condi spam’.
