Suggestion: Shout- “Rise!”
Replace all horrors to flesh golems.
Theres a major problem with this shout. It scales and spawns more jagged horrors based on how many you hit. However. Minions only hit single targets. Which means it would be most effective against a single target but against a single target you only get 1 minion. You are using an AOE skill to summon 5 weak single target minions to deal with a group of enemies. It doesnt make sense. It would make more sense if melee minions had cleave attacks. Or if they were more durable. Or if they didnt slowly degenerate health.
Cleaving minions please. nudge nudge, wink wink

Or combine with death nova. Enemy cleaves and BOOM goes the dynamite…err… their hp I mean.
Well considering we have a skill that finally scales with the number of enemies on the field plus the minions we already have (aside from the obvious UI issues) plus if you have Death nova poping jaggeds like nothing, it’s a very powerful skill. C’mon, the ability to have up to 7-10+ minions at one time is suuuuper powerful.

what if the Elite Shout summoned something more greater than this minion? man I am excited…
Seems amazing. Unfortunately usseles. Jagged horror are just a mimic, those minions don’t bring anything except one blow that the target has to expend to kill the jagged horror, The dead nova trait, that is a grand master trait is not that strong only 80 DPS/second for 5 seconds (max 420 damage).
They need to revamp and improve the condition damage in necro somehow. Poison is easily cleansed and this Grand Master trait is just a joke.
The shout sounds amazing But the minion casted must be harder. I don’t mean more DPS but been able to stand a normal attack would be good, at least to be noticiable. They could revamp the jagged horror in general so the Grand master could have more sense. In this case harder and little bit more DPS (this minions do something like 30 damage and bleeding that is not even noticiable). Thus we could begin to use it.

Just to clarify the death nova poison field deals damage, pulses and persists for four seconds. It’s not massive damage but can cause some seriously long lasting poison and works very well as area denial & pressure.

Scratch the long lasting, cause it will stack in intensity. So duration down, damage up.
Its pretty obviously a minion-bomber skill, considering there is apparently going to be a way to reduce shout CD per person hit. So run into fight, summon jagged horrors, laugh maniacally while they stack up a bit of bleed then explode to deal like 6k direct damage and 15 stacks of poison.
Chill, Vul, Poison, bleed and Minions nuking you in the face. Cool.

they don’t. I used lich to summon the jagged horrors and I gained no life force when they die. So much for that idea.
This is a hybrid shout, jagged horrors can fit in all specs I rather keep it that way. They do also have bleed on AA they don’t last long enough tough…

Their death is the best part, Death Nova has never been a more hilarious skill. Have you ever been annoyed by someone spamming AoE? Use your shout, have a friendly Guardian give them retal, send them out into the teamfight to instantly kill anyone dumb enough to AoE them.
The skill is only useful if you go into the DM line, and use your GM trait on on of the two minion traits there.
Unless the CD is very short, it otherwise doesn’t seem to be very good for non MM builds, which is like, 95% of necros.
We don’t know anything about its CD, and just because you take Death Nova doesn’t mean you are an MM build.

The difference here is Death Nova is mutually exclusive to Necromantic. it might be interesting for a VERY niche trait to take if you go death magic and not as an MM, but I really don’t think it will stand up to NC since it holds the 25% damage boost for minions.
I might see the niche, but I don’t see it getting any real consideration.

Why would you use nova unless you’re running minions?
Because you have a shout that allows you to throw out up to 5 poison fields with one skill plus 6k direct damage. Running 1 minion =/= MM build.
