i agree that staff 1 is really bad, but immob on a spammable skill would be really OP
i think that the projectile should be faster, so it doesn’t have to travel for 1 second to hit 1200 range

The problem with staff is not Necrotic Grasp. It is the fact the entire rest of the skills are AoE. Staff is good like it is and there are few weapons Necromancers complain as little about as staff. It just is not the type of weapon you would like it to be.
Necromancer really does need a long range, fast weapon with a channel designed for single targets. Pistols, rifles, and bows were part of the discussion a while back. Take away the AoE, the conditions, and increase the single target dps to compensate, though dps should be less than axe and much less than dagger. The weapon should have limited utility outside of certain PvE events so CC ought to be adjusted accordingly.

Staff 1 is only slow, apart from that i think it is fine…
I had thoughts, that the maximum the devs can come up with a number tweak. Our animation fluidity, siphons/healing revamp and other big changes will have to wait min. anoyher 6 months.
So a faster projectile on #1 is what i would recommend.
thing is, the projectile speed was buffed 10% at an earlier patch if i remember correctly…hard to get another speed buff :/
Make it a bit faster, it isn’t remotely a high damage ability so its not a huge deal. Otherwise I think its basically fine.
