[Suggestion] a Necro, that raises the dead
Actually they already do. Signet of undeath revives up to 3 downed players in an area.
And the mark of revival trait. (Inscribes a mark that causes fear when reviving)

Revival abilities pretty much just raises someone from a downed state and as davis mentioned we already have Signet of Undeath.
Personally, I rarely actually use such abilities because they have fairly long activation times and a small radius; which means that you rarely raise more than one person, while with the long activation time you would typically not have enough time to use the ability before the person is defeated.
Now if revival skills were given the additional ability of raising someone from a defeated state into their downed state then they would be quite useful. Like how in Guild Wars you could avoid wipes by using Rebirth to revive dead party members and teleport them to your location without re-aggroing the enemies that killed them in the first place. Very useful during events that cause many player deaths.
I’d love necromancer to be truly cheating death. That includes ressing defeated players in PvE, turning defeated players into (controllable by them) zombies, adding a downed skill that turns you into a swarm of bats so you can escape like ele, etc.
Coming from a Ranger, I’m not too keen on introducing even more AI into this class. But that said, the only ‘minion’ I really like are the bone minions. They’re mostly useless little fodder who’s only funciton is to go in and die.
If we were to get additional minions, I’d honestly wouldn’t want much more than a signet that spawned a ‘skeleton’ every 10 seconds with a limit of 5 skeletons. They did nothing but stumble around you like locust swarm does. Activating the signet would cause them to charge at an enemy and explode after 5 seconds whether they got there or not.
Id honestly be fine with the dead things we raise already actually attacking things as soon as we got into combat. That’d be nice.
GW2 Necromancers could raise dead (look up Livia and the other rat scientist). But they agreed not to, as this is classified as crossing the limits. Instead, we use constructs. And since GW2 it seems that we can also summon things from Underworld.

Playing the engineer “as intended” is simply not viable.
More power of death and the dead, id like to see better minions several skeletons armored or zombie type creatures, maybe a % every time you get hit a skeleton is raised to fight. I am a huge fan of Necromancy and the necro here turns me off from playing so i dont. If the necro was better id play this game over WoW.
Age of Conan minions, Diablo 2 necro. These sad looking things in this game are not necro there lab creatures whats wrong with raiseing a few skeletons or zombies, even the skeleton of some of the wild creatures in the world
