Can anyone find the specific stats or know of them on Sigil of Geomancy, Sigil of Hydromancy and the like for the specific physical damage?

I’m pondering making an purely-AoE based build, but I need to know what to build around. Anyone that can give me that information will have my gratitude.

Hydromancy is like 800-900 damage (1.4kish on full soldier/zerker/power main stat), golemancy is like half of it direct, but adds like 450 via condition damage pre enemy. Overall same aoe only difference is condition. Oh but one note you do have to keep in mind, hydro bugs out summoned (ele) and some enviormental weapons that are based on charges.

Thanks, think I’m going to build around a power based Chill Necromancer using Hydromancy for some extra oomph

Btw thats pve, not sure about just how it does in pvp with sigil (never bothered to look, just know its like a additiona aa or two and i like chill) so maybe leeching might do more damage if you go single target, it also cant be really wasted in the way hydro and geo can.

Chill would be a big bonus to having Hydromancy. Chill is an extremely powerful CC, and the 3rd best condition in the game imo.

Fixed X3 and yeah it is nice just saying if you are going for just plain more damage other sigils might do more; also since Hydro and Geo kinda do everything “huh hum ok” at once, kinda a lot like necros actually, you might wanna sigil up to remove a weakness of your build if it specializes.

I used both Sigils in PvP and WvW/PvE. Now I’m mostly sticking to Geomancy.

They both do the same amount of direct damage, which is about the same as Necrotic Grasp.
When I have a Carrion jewel (and 20 Spite/30 Curses) in the Mists they will both do slightly less than 500 damage on a traning golem. (240-250 without any traits or jewel)

Of course they both benefit from all kinds of damage enhancing buffs and traits (Critical hits, Might, Vulnerability, Target the Weak, Close to Death,…). So with my WvW gear I have a little over 2k power and no extra crit damage. And with that I’ve seen the Sigil of Geomancy do 1,5k on other players.

I tend to get 2,2k around that from Frost Burn (Hydromancy Sigil) in my Power Build, my Power then being around 2500. Highest Iv seen I got was 2,7k

The Geomancy I belive is viable only in a Condition Build.

With my condi build Geo would only hit for 375ish switch damage but the 3 stacks of bleeds were pretty nice.

I’ll go play with a golem just to be sure I’m not blowing smoke out of my kitten though.

Edit: With my Carrion amulet / old build it was around 375. With this current build it’s 274-277. Funny enough, the combat log calls it Frost Burst.

If you are going for condi’s, then go with Geomancy.

If you are going for Direct Damage, then Hydromancy.

If you are going hybrid, then either can work for you and it gets tougher to make the call. I would say that if you carry the damaging wells, then use hydromancy to hold in wells for the extra tick.
