Personal favorite spectral walk… I can almost smell the neft to it. But its obvious too.
Also expecting minion nerfs. Don’t ask why… Just a feeling.

I would say it is exceedingly likely spectral walk is changed to not be castable while jumping/falling. If not this patch, next patch to be certain, since this may just be a mostly content patch.

I also think it is likely they hit the duration of DS5 torment, and make it shorter. No real reason to expect that other than intuition.

Unfortunately they will continue to nerf here and there and completely ignore the problem which is the 5-10 seconds of burning/torment/bleeding/terror (some of that time)/poison/weakness/chill all being stacked at once.

Of course some other classes can do similar things, but since they don’t have access to terror, they will never have that part of the puzzle. I fully expect them to do a 180 entirely on “terror”, and change the way it works from a damage skill to something akin to a life force generator, like 5% per second of fear on the target. Or possibly make it so that applied conditions deal 10% more damage with fear active.

One way or the other, I expect the condition side to get stomped into the ground, as the entire SPVP community hates conditions, and hates dealing with them. Think what happen to confusion and retaliation, only worse, because it is on a less than popular class, on a very specific skill.

I really don’t think they are going to nerf much since PAX is right around the corner, and with qualifiers over teams don’t even have much of a chance to practice in real settings anymore.

Also, wasn’t last patch a “balance” patch? That said, I wouldn’t be surprised if there were maybe some minor damage nerfs to condi Necro damage.

I think with the hotfix to burning devs might finally be seeing the core issue that put necro from subpar to 0 skill face roll. With that said, I feel it is very unlikely that we keep a GM trait that is 50% less effective than adept that many have asked to be removed. So I might be overly optimistic but I see some reverts in our future then hopefully they begin bringing up underused trait lines like they have mentioned before.

That being said, everyone is playing condi necro, but seem to have missed the part where power necros are actually in a good spot when played right. Right now I am playing a sustain LF bruiser that can bunker break just as well as any of the old 30/30/10 power builds. Right now I actually think condi is our subpar option for necro

On a serious note, probably Spectral traits and Life Force regeneration on certain weapons. I can also see Staff #4 being stealth nerfed like in every single patch since beta.

Power builds are pretty strong right now, not best in game but certainly not a slouch anymore. I could really do without fire if something needs toning down. Fire just does not synnergize with other traits and skills like poison, darkness, or chill do.

Bleed is overused by other professions so I would like to see Arenanet revisit the condition across the board to determine which jobs really need it, where, and does its damage make sense if access was resticted.

Necromancer could use more group support skills at the upper ends of the Death and Blood magic trait lines so that bunker builds are more beneficial to other members in team play. Perhaps establishing a synnergy between the high ends of those two trait trees that benefit the rest of the party but are not minion-based. (Minions became the Necromancer’s easy button after so many improvements so MM probably does not need help in providing group support as much as other builds.)

Fixed a bug where Last Gasp was triggering at 50% health instead of 15%
Fixed a bug where Blood is Power only inflicted 2 stacks of bleeding on self instead of 10.
Fixed a bug where minions had infinite duration.
Fixed a bug where Necrotic Grasp could damage more than one target.
Fixed a bug where Spectral Wall applied protection to allies crossing it instead of fear.

That blood is power fix would actually be a HUGE buff for condition necros. Never going to happen.

Death shroud deemed a useless ability, replaced by the new F1 “kick me” skill. When activated this new ability transforms the necro into a 80’s movie nerd, complete with the pocket protector and wide rim glasses. When an enemy attacks said necro his armor preforms a self wedgie giving the necro a long term weakness and immobilize condition.

This change was seen to be more of a buff than anything we have thusfar done to the necro and as such we feel we may have to decrease it’s usefulness.

Please feel free to try it before passing judgement though.

Some might say, “Don’t even joke about that”, it has happened before in what was truthfully deemed the worse nerf in MMO history. Yes! No debate. I initially thought the DAoC Left-Axe Nerf was bad. That one still to this day kittens me off just thinking about it lol.

Star Wars “Creature Handler”. Removed from the game, during an NGE “Complete Balancing” changes to the game’s combat" which left no stone unturned as the devs killed the game.

It’s a long painful story for those that lived it and the games demise, and has no place here but…I’m just saying be careful what you wish for lol.

Lets all be honest here, who didn’t expect Trident’s wallhax to get fixed eventually? I mean (at least in the past) you used to be able to solo land bosses while AFK by auto attacking them with trident while something was between you. I will miss AFK boss killing, but it was fun while it lasted.

Well nor have i, nor any necro i know off really; well at least i think so, maybe nemesis did it, but in general noone likes nor thinks CM is a good explorable dungeon, or worth the effort if you can cheeze it, full honest, it and arah story need massive changes in design (well not the arah pillar/maw fight).

When life gives you lemon, ask if its from a anime or manga.

Also… ds crit talent/or ds crit preriod got nerfed too. I can barely crit with life blast with what should be almost 100% crit chance. Its like 4/10 hits crit >_>

Well, you haven’t played CM recently then. A few months ago they drastically altered the geography in the back area: the lake is now knee-deep, and the house is completely gone. So you can’t hide from Vallog underwater anymore. (Also, he can’t throw everyone off the tiny raft into the water anymore, so that’s a little bit fair at least)

He has some bleeding and a long-duration version of swirling winds (projectile reflect). Other than that, nothing worth mentioning.

Mixing insults with your post is like pooping in a salad.
It’s pretty obvious, and nobody’s impressed.

Its not that I didn’t finish the path. I have finished that path dozens of times. I have killed that boss plenty of times, but I have never really fought him (hint hint, I sat under the water and auto’d him to death).

Could you link the build? I’m very curious as to what you are using.
