So it turns out there’s a food you can craft (It’s Pizza) that increases all of your condition’s durations by 40%, including your bleeds. This has the impressive effect of increasing your damage per minute (or average dps or whatever) by 40%. Also notably, the extra 40% allows you to keep an impressive uptime on Chilled with the right build, so it also adds to your utility.

Because I need to blow off steam, I do want to quickly yell that according to our estimations I’m still nowhere near the top damager of my go to dungeon group, even though my friends are using MF consumables instead of anything to increase their damage, but who cares. I’m finally pretty useful in dungeons. Providing there aren’t several other people stacking bleeds my Necro finally isn’t a liability anymore.

Read the top comment. It only increases duration, not damage. So you would have longer bleeds that tick smaller but deal the same damage over time (excepting the bonus condition damage). I have not tested and cannot verify, but it may be true.

It doesn’t tick smaller, it ticks the for the same amount each second, the guy was just angry at the “DPS” terminology.

Unless you don’t hit the stack limit for bleeds in your 5 man group, this food won’t do much at all.

Yeah I mentioned that in the OP, but to be honest it’s generally a bad idea to be pushing against the bleed cap regardless of consumables. For those who discuss these things in the group before hand this item literally increases the amount of condition damage you do by around 40%.

Condition duration stacks additively, so assuming you already have the two condition duration improving talents in the Curses tree you will get less than a 40% damage increase, especially considering that not your entire damage comes from conditions.
Bleed effects are so abundant even in Power specs that it’s not hard to hit the cap even in a group with only one Condition damage focused member.

Morelia, do you not use runes or traits that increase your bleed damage? Or do you but you’ve hit the exact limit with your build that somebody should go? And if so, can I ask what that limit is?

I can understand you objecting to me saying 40% damage increase when in action it’s closer to 30 or something, but you seem to be railing hard against the idea of increasing your condition duration and you’re probably the first Necromancer I’ve met who thinks it’s a bad idea.

My entire point was that stacking condition duration does absolutely nothing if your dungeon party is already capable of hitting the debuff limit consistently which isn’t hard at all.

For soloing it’s perfectly fine of course.

Given that a properly built, spec’d, and geared bleeder necro can hit 20-22 stacks, 40% duration won’t do a whole lot. It’s nice, sure, but not super critical.
