Hello, everyone =)

I have been having fun on my Necro. However, I feel like I am missing something.

I play mostly just PvE at the moment and am still currently levling up(I will work on PvP later). I would very much like to use a specific build as I level up so that I feel comfortable at level 80. Many, many threads here have referred to the Condition Build that ‘everyone uses.’ The thing is.. either they’re wildly different builds(if the poster happens to link one) or they just don’t link it at all.

I feel very lost here. Is there a specific build that most are considering to be the cookie-cutter Condition build that I’m just not finding(I will admit that my googlefu is not the best!)?

I use a Scepter/Dagger with a Staff. I like this play-style a lot! I just want to do the very best that I can when I play. I know that there is the Sticky post at the top, but, I haven’t seen(or possibly not realized that I saw) the main Trait Build that people seem to agree is best over-all currently for Condition Mancer. As well as the Stats to prioritize with this build.

I feel silly for having to ask all of these things. I’ve just never been very good at number crunching, and, with the amount of different builds in the sticky post.. I feel very lost, despite trying out several different Condition builds!

Thanks very much for your time and help.

Here you go.

Once greater marks is fixed you can drop 10 out of either spite or blood and pick it up with 30 in death. Right now running it can hinder you more than help since chillbains will fire and not hit unless you put it right on the target. This is generally how I’m running it right now. Things are up for discussion in terms of runes and sigils but that’s the basic setup I’ve found to be effective. You could drop minor corruption for geomancy. You could also drop afflicted/krait for undead but I much prefer afflicted/krait. You can move traits around as well but the 30 in curses is pretty much necessary in my opinion for duration on bleed stacking. Some people like to run some into the soul reaping line but, in my opinion, you need to go full 30 into that for it to be effective and having shorter cooldowns is more beneficial.

EDIT: Not sure why the forums hate links. Just copy and paste it and it will work instead of clicking on it.

Most condition builds will be suggested to you with SPvP in mind, I’ve found that WvW often demands slight alterations if you’re a roamer/raider.

Highlet I notice you use plague signet in your build and even dedicate a major trait in spite towards it. However I think it’s worth nothing that at the moment plague signet is heavily bugged, and will only copy conditions on to you, not removing them from other players. Therefore it might be worth changing both that utility skill and trait to something that’s working properly

Hi Feelm,
Yes I know it only copies and doesn’t remove. However, it is the only stun break in that build and therefor necessary in my opinion for sPvP tournament play. In fact, it really is our only stun break period since spectral walk is so meh in my opinion. It is still, even in its bugged state, incredibly useful as another condition purge to push conditions back into epidemic spam which is why I dedicate the trait to it because it needs to be up as much as possible. When greater marks trait is fixed, I will likely drop it or the dagger cooldown trait in exchange for greater marks. But as of right now, I find the greater marks trait to be a hindrance since it does not apply to mark of blood and though it applies to chillblains trigger radius, it does not apply to the effect or damage.

Aha, I didn’t notice the stun break element of the skill. That makes sense then, thank you for the explanation.

Nope, even with that part of Plague Signet not working properly it is still one of the absolute best utilities that we have and is essential for any pvp build.

The truth is there is no cookie cutter ‘best build’. There is a good deal of flexibility depending on your play style .

I use this build currently

For stats, rabid is the best stat allocation for condition builds. It is toughness/precision/condition damage.

Threads with information on obtaining this armor:

A stop gap solution before you can obtain rabid stats is either Rampager or Carrion. Rampager (with sigil of earth) will provide more damage, Carrion will provide more survivability.

There are “extra points” to make variants, but the essential always picked traits are 10/30/10/0/0. That’s 20 points to throw around for your own needs.

Consume Conditions/Corrupt Boon/Epidemic/Signet of Spite or Plague Signet/Plague

Scepter/Dagger/Staff

Okay, first of all, thanks everyone for replying so far! =)

Now, some stuff.. :::

-Terok.7315
“Most condition builds will be suggested to you with SPvP in mind, I’ve found that WvW often demands slight alterations if you’re a roamer/raider.”

Is that because most people that post builds are PvPers, or is that because Conditionmancer is better for PvP than it is for PvE?

-In some of the builds provided, Reaper’s Protection’s tooltip says, “When disabled (by stun, daze, knockback, knockdown, sink, float, fear, or launch), nearby foes fear you. This effect can only trigger once every 90 seconds.”

Why do I want to be Feared by foes? Or is this saying that they are afraid of me and will run away? I guess the second choice makes sense. The wording is kind of… yeah.

@Highlet
What stat priority do you use?
Is it Cond. Dmg/?/?

Sorry about the delay in getting back to you all. Had some RL stuff to do. /yay =P
