Hello,

So while I was making my previous build, The Dark Savior, I really wanted to see if it was possible to create a necro whose damage revolved around being in and dealing damage with Death Shroud. I figured once of the best ways I could do this is to invest in power. I really wanted to find a way to involve death shroud more as the center point of a build after the last Sotg. The reason I consider this to be a PvE build the most is because it doesn’t add a whole lot to teamfights, it has high single target damage but low AoE damage. This means that versus bosses or instances where you’re focusing an enemy, this build really shines.

Here are two builds I came up with, I’d love to hear your opinions on both. The first one is a DPS build that revolves around stacking power and might to hit like a truck. I was able to get max might with it.

The second build revolves around stacking fury none stop during a fight. It utilizes the death shroud mechanics and run fury + duration to give you a never ending supply of it. It is smart to do while fighting because you can keep your life pool up while stacking it (basically going in and out of death shroud).

Hopefully they’re are somewhat acceptable, if not give me your suggestions below

The first build should take Close to Death rather than axe training because it revolves around DS and 20% on maxed life blast is some decent damage (then considering might)

I personally do 30/25/0/0/15 and go witha spectral build (though sometimes I switch for the BiP instead of spectral grasp). I like to mix the might stacking with the fury, also while Im primarily a power build I stack other conditions like weakness/poison/chill/vulnerability (not including other conditions the team brings)…so I like having 2% per condition in 2nd tree.

So 20% dmg (though on enemies with less than 50%hp), +2% per condition and full stack of vulnerability is easy for axe/focus with traited life blast (adds 2 vulnerability per hit…though I think its only on first mob hit)

Apollo – I agree CTD is better, but:

CTD affects all weapon damage and utility damage – staff DS1 does more damage than axe DS1, however…

AT affects only axe damage and axe cooldown, BUT AT affects DS1 when using axe.

DS1 with staff and CTD and enemy health below 50% does roughly the same damage as DS1 with axe and CTD.
