The Love to Hate Necros
Still didn’t kitten me off as much as their usage of the word “turtle” in the description for our new trait. Considering we’re supposed to be an attrition class and they make it sound like it’s a bad thing if we use our special mechanic. Very poor choice of words on their behalf…
Champion: Phantom, Hunter, Legionnaire, Genius

if it is not obviously by now that this is just a work in progress then i simply do not know what else to tell you . perhaps maybe the game is designed to be this way not by being mocked or by being jaded but when it may seem like they really are trying to correct the issues . but to further the process of which they have to dive head first into just so can better understand where their information has gotten them has to be from reading posts online on this forum . for i can tell whether or not if it is raining on my leg right now or when it is going to rain on my leg later any given day , because when it does rain i can clearly see streams of yellow liquid being poured on my leg by anet devs and that is when they tell me that it is indeed raining . good day sir !!!

Its probably something to do with none of the devs in charge of skills/balance mains a necro. I kind of expect the worst these days. And just enjoy the changes that are good on all classes.
When’s EQ Next coming out?
I’m really tired of this company’s bull kitten.
80 Ranger (3), 80 Warrior (3), 80 Thief (3)
80 Ele (2), 80 Engi (3), 80 Rev (2)
I agree. From a pvp perspective necro’s problems aren’t the necro itself. It is the fact they they keep adding HARD counters to necro. This mesmer trait being the latest hard counter. In addition we have seen berzerker stance, cleansing ire, diamond skin, automated response, null field buff, hammer warrior buffs (we have no stab), pistol whip buffs….
All these things hit us hardest and make playing necro frustrating.
Necromancer/Casual Warrior
[Team] Best WvW guild of all time. EASILY.
I don’t understand the necro hate. It’s not like we can just arbitrarily stop or continue the fight on a whim unlike… never mind.
for there you have been and there you will long to return.
I have to agree with Spoj; we just have to enjoy the good changes when they come. I believe once the game moves through this max DPS funk it is in and it balances itself out into the wonderful game it can be, Necros will have their day in the sun….er…..putrid mist.

They wanted to pun on “nail in the coffin”, so they chose Necromancer because they’re the “undead/death magic” class.
Reading any more into it is a level of sensitivity I can’t possibly imagine.

That’s because you’re not reading any more into it.
As far as other classes who are less affected by this skill the Warrior is also in the safe zone. Their stability and passive heal healing skill make them less affected by this. Any class that has access to stability are less affected by this trait.
So when they say, “put the nail in the necro coffin”, they really mean that since we also have some of the longer cast-times among classes with obvious cast animations.

Why would I try as hard as you are to take offense at a joke? I had a chuckle at it.

Because its not a joke. That’s why I gave examples on why it’s more literal than you would try to have believe. Why? I have no idea. But try more I guess.

The troll is strong with this one. I’m just going to report your thread, and move on.

You haven’t even given any info on why you’re going to report. I say go for it man. You have nothing constructive to say except “I’m gonna report u gg”. Who’s the troll again?
While you’re at it report his thread too: Mesmers Grandmaster Trait
Since reading things isn’t your style you should just go ahead and report stuff you don’t understand.

Because your example is wrong. If you want to use an example to prove your point, at least have the decency to not twist the reality. To make it short:
1. Necromancer eats thief for breakfast. (assuming you’re condition/ or MM)
2. Thief kitten s mesmer any day.
3. Necromancer is not harcountered by mesmer.
Even If I take those new traits into consideration, I don’t think anything will change. It’s a wait and see really. Hence why I don’t spit hasty conclusions. Come back to earth.
