Also made it thru, with acceptable minion play!
I still can’t see them being much use vs all the 1shot death mechanics like worldboss’s. Until we get %life per sec on them, like they did with our spect skills in reverse.
But yeh, def a better ‘buff’ than siphons!

I’m focusing on condition damage, actually. Probably going to swap back away from minions because I miss epidemic, but they are great fun!

Transfusion keeps up minions, minions siphon. (And get a boost to damage from power on your gear) And you still got Life Blast, that gives might/pice/vuln.
Minions actually can feed into the blood buff really well, with my traits I am constantly being healed for around 90 and the amount of Siphon they do is based on power so it is really nice. Right now i’m running in full berserk gear/trinkets and sit around 1400 toughness and 22k life
You ‘could’ also use like Clerics, but… The heal power scaling is something like 0.004…
I’m using Knights & the Power/Pre/Vit/Crit ascended bits, with divinity runes.

That graph is off, my minion heal on hit is 94 without BT and with 1215 healing power in sPvP.

It doesn’t scale with Healing Power. The tooltip is incorrect.

Indeed I stand corrected.
For as much as I am happy to see buffs for the MM builds out there, sadly, minion AI is still crap and this is the biggest problem with MM builds. Especially in WvW. sPvP has enjoyed better use of MM builds, but really the AI has to change before MM builds are on par with condition builds or even power builds. Glad to hear, though, that ppl are getting better results with the minions.

I’ve been enjoying the minion buff. Did the devs quietly nurf minion damage though???
For example, according to wiki (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Summon_Flesh_Golem), flesh golem normally does about 700 dmg. The charge, if I remember correctly, did over 1k.
Now, the damage is much lower. The same is true of other minions as well.

Nope, unchanged completely. The tooltip just is god awful at showing it, but his damage is the same.
yep. I just did some testing and i’m seeing the same damage as before. Odd that the tooltip would become inaccurate like that.
Its odd that their massive tooltip rework included completely buggering up a few of the tooltips, yeah.
I can’t speak to PvP or even WvW ( though I’d assume it’s fine) but in PvE MM is so awesome! I have been playing seance launch and I am about to take my Necro off the shelf full time.
I have run CoF, CoE, HotW, AC, & Arah. Tonight I plan on running some fractals (well see lol) and Sorrows. So far MM far out shines my other builds (and my condition build is fully ascended)
I did do TEQ and my minions still die but I trait for the 20% cool down and tbh I feel like I get as much damage out of them as I would a well before they die and they have a shorter CD (pro tip use wurm it’ll save your hide)
Oh and I have not really had an issue with pet AI although in SPvP that may be different.
In short I feel like saying it… MM is possibly the new PvE meta.
The buff to minions’ health is nice, somehow helps, it makes Reanimator less useless, it helps in standard level instances.. But still minions go down to whatever aoe.
The healing from Transfusion is nice, but still on a cooldown of 40 seconds is pretty situational.
It would be nice if the cooldown reduction from Traits would be raised to 50% and if minions would share the Boons with the master like the Ranger’s ROE
