If the above is too difficult for you, ArenaNet, then just go back to GW1 to see how awesome necros were in your first iteration of the profession. Then apply the lessons learned there to GW2.

Also, if you’re having a hard time grasping what the necro is all about, I’ll sum it up for you; it’s the anti-everything.

High health? Let me siphon that from you!

High DPS? Let me curse you so that you damage yourself faster than you damage me!

Lots of boons? Here, let me strip them from you while hurting you in the process!

You’re quick? I’ll slow you down!

CC? I’m the unstoppable force, mother kitten!

DoT? I’ve got more lives than a cat and will out-regen whatever you throw at me!

Focus me? Eat my minions!

We’re the dark matter, the blackhole, the -1, the inverse, the mirror universe. If you can’t figure that out on your own, don’t give yourself an aneurysm over it. GW1 captured the theme of necros perfectly; how you kittened it up so badly in GW2 is beyond me. Without breaking a sweat, though, you can just go back to your roots in GW1 and re-use the mold. We won’t accuse you of being lazy. Promise.

for GW2 they don’t want Necro to be descent. dunno why this hate. they do everything they can to be the most underpower class. they even made Reaper greatsword to be slower than hammer Warrior. hammer Warrior has around 1.7sec full cycle auto attack and Reaper has 3sec. omg. “ALL” charge skills have collision and stop on target, but not Reaper’s. Reaper’s charge is revolution and doesn’t have collision and pass through enemies. pathetic. Necro/Reaper has got the most nerfs from all classes, and class is underpower since the beginning. Elementalist that does 1.5k+ dmg(without count burn dmg) with dagger doesn’t need nerf. Ele has “8” bleed stacks skill with dagger and earth attune, and has a signet that stacks 5 bleeds on 25sec cd(Necro dagger off hand skill 2 stacks 2 bleeds and has 25sec cd), and they removed 1 bleed stack from 2 Necro skills(1 bleed stack removal of scepter skill 2 wasn’t enough, and so they removed 1 bleed stack from staff skill 2 too), autoattack with scepter and earth attune stacks 3 bleeds on each attack. what kind of bs is that? Ele stack 4 burn on a 3.25sec cd skill(when trait), and burn is better than poison and bleed combined together

Necro/Reaper is trash even on condi build. i was watching a not perfect Ele condi video and he was doing 10-12k burn ticks with “0” vulnerability and around 10 might. Necro with 25might+25vuln doesn’t tick more than 5-6k. if Ele ticks on 25 vuln target with 25 might it will easily do 15k+ tick, and don’t forget the 1.5k+ damage that dagger skills do. people think that around 5k tick with Reaper-Dhuumfire build is awesome

In all honesty they did listen to us adding the stun break for FitG, and they did reduce the vulnerability stacks on consume conditions (should have removed them IMO). Both mentioned on the forums beforehand BTW.

It remains to be seen with the next beta weekend what changes they are willing to make to the reaper. This forum has blown up over the weekend with TONS of suggestions and even TTH wrote an article about the current state of the reaper.

I for one would be happy if they were to incorporate more discussion with us, but I’ll give Robert the benefit of the doubt for now. If can only hope that he gives us the same treatment as the mesmers got; most there seem to be very pleased.

Please don’t start bringing doom again we are seeing some lights and stick to their ways for necro:

1)They don’t see the class like we do
2)The "necro theme" is preferred by them over balance
3)They are always to keep necro "in line" before action/live (hello rest of the game)
4)They overestimate DS that starts at zero LF before every match
5)Like someone mentioned necro is very different from the rest of the classes
6)They use perfect scenarios for balance

They pulled a #6 on reaper and areas of base necro like Dhummfire but we’ve already a recent enough mention that feedback taken sure it’s not the for time this exact situation happens and yes those ways keep messing things up but progress is made and will continue to be made. It’s not like they don’t want us to play they are just stubborn and overconfident sometimes so please save the doom.

My point was that at he knows how to buff things so maybe he will be up to the task of buffing us up as well; sorry if that was unclear. Also IMO he went a bit overboard on the mesmer elite, but that is a completely other discussion.

Oofta, no need for all caps. Feedback from the BWE was asked for, and I don’t think there’s been a louder community than necro. Reserve judgement.
