The devs listen...sometimes.
The
The only changes they made specifically for Necromancer were 16 bug fixes and a tooltip fix. The rest they had to make because stability and blinks were changed. I’m enjoying the bug fixes, but I wouldn’t exactly call it proof of the devs listening when these bugs have been around for at least 4 months since Flesh of the Master was bugged.
Necromancer
Life Leech (Downed State): Updated the skill facts of this ability to be accurate.
Flesh Wurm: This skill will no longer activate if a valid path to the target point cannot be found.
Plague: This ability now grants 3 stacks of stability every 3 seconds, with a 3-second duration.
Lich Form: This ability now grants 1 stack of stability every 3 seconds, with a 3-second duration.
The following necromancer traits will now remain active when the necromancer enters the downed state:
Death Magic:
Minion Master
Flesh of the Master
Death Nova
Necromantic Corruption
Deadly Strength
Blood Magic:
Bloodthirst
Vampiric Precision
Vampiric Master
Vampiric Rituals
Vampiric
Curses:
Withering Precision
Barbed Precision
Soul Reaping:
Master of Terror
Spite:
Training of the Master
Chill of Death
Close to DeathWell it might be everything we wanted but it’s a nice step in the right direction. Now if we can have Dhuumfire in Curses where it needs to be……
Why should dhuumfire be in curses?

Of course the devs listen.
Pretty much all of our suggestions on how to fix necromancer have been implemented in the revenant. That’s what the revenant is: a class based on the necromancer forum’s suggested fixes.
As for the necromancer itself: what they did to foot in the grave is pretty sad, and the upcoming greatsword can’t possibly fix all of the problems with the class and probably will not even fix the class’ need to bring staff in every build.

Condi damage I would say. And then maybe withering precision in spite because it doesn’t do damage and would benefit from condi duration?
Burnings damage is already high enough I’d prefer to make sure it had 30% extra duration. Plus I wouldn’t want to have to choose between poc and dhuum.

Withering Precision does not fit spite because spite is not the precision tree, and so should not have on-crit traits. Which is part of why redesigning dhuumfire was so important. This would give us our maximum damage condition build for 4 traits less, and I’d be extremely wary of of that.
