The new Lich in PvE
never blinking “specialist”,
That is not how scaling works.
A skill has a power modifier, (aka its power scaling), lich itself has the base value of a staff of the rarity of your weapon ([&AgFgVwAA]), lich used to have like a 0.9 power pre second output with a high base damage (comapred to daggers medium + 1.4 power pre second with higher base last hit), now its increased (can be caluclated on pvp golems with Damage Delt = Weapon strength * Power * Skill coefficient / Armor), tho for anyone using external/delayed damage its a nerf since a combined well bomb did well over 15 x power over 5 seconds.
it doesnt matter if it has a weapon scaling, in fact that would increase the dmg form my calculations cause i calculated the modifier while wielding an exotic weapon, so if you would wield an ascended weapon the dmg would be higher. for calculations it make sabsolutely no difference if you calculate scaling of the average weapon dmg*modifer or use that term as one modifier, you only lose out on max possible and lowest possible dmg, but for average dps calcualtions you end up with the same result in both cases.

That’s simply not true. The dmg of any skill is calculated by: Power*Weapon dmg*modifier/enemy armor.

Lich doesnt use the weapon strength of your equipped weapon. It uses a static number instead. Its probably 1000. But theres no way to be 100% certain without extensive testing.
A skill has a power modifier, (aka its power scaling), lich itself has the base value of a staff of the rarity of your weapon
This quote is incorrect. Skills do not have power modifiers or power scaling. They have coefficients. Lich has a static value which is equivalent to the weapon strength you use to calculate damage for other non utility and transform skills. As Blackmoa said. The damage is calculated using power, weapon strength, skill coefficient, armour and bonus modifiers.

Pretty sure it’s not a “static number” but rather a “static range”.
If it were a “static number”, you would see only two damage values pop up against the same target: normal hit and crit. But, two successive hits, even if they are both crits, with no other difference will usually result in two different values.
True. But thats just being pedantic. When calculating you use the average weapon strength. So the value used in calculations is a constant in this case. Which is why I always think of it as a single value. In game its a range, when calculating its a static value.
