Clearly so he has something to complain about, how else will he have something meanful(questionably) to say online. The fact that he can’t shut up when having nothing good to say in a thread where good things were asked for speaks for itself.

I do love the bites, the animation and the sound, like a giant chomp, especially with #3 Axe skill.
I’m curious thought, what do you define by power? The most damage in short bursts?
I personally find the ability to keep seven enemies constantly slowed and Weakness’d (50% to hit for 50% less damage and no crits) very powerful. When the champion enemy can’t crit for 30 seconds, he’s hilariously easy to take down.
1. get like 5-6 enemies together → condtion the hell out of 1 of them → epidemic → DS for even more dmg and enjoy the show

I for one am loving the class and feel its not fair to have to be restricted to only 3 things I like about it. ( So I wont)
1. I feel like I control a whole battlefield. I used Staff and three wells. (one heal, two offensive) Thats a total of 7 area target spells that cause complete hell for people in them.
2. Best sounds on skills hands down.
3. It actually takes quite a bit of skill to play well. you have to be aware of each of your skills and what conditions/boons are being juggled.
4. We are the only non-good samaritan seeming class.
5. I die far less on my necro than any of my other characters.
6. We WILL get some love in the future. I hope its mainly just bug fixes and not a huge boost to DPS or there will be an over saturation of FOTM necros.
1) I like that my necro speaks when I summon a minion or if a minion dies.
2) Death Shroud <3
3) The amount of aoe I have.
I have tried some of the other classes and they may be better than my Necromancer but I have found that Necromancer far more fun to play.
Finally…a thread that isn’t about QQ’ing about how “weak and how bad the necro sucks” XD.
The three things I like:
1)Armor sets look pretty cool
2)Exploding minions are always fun
3)By far one of the most interesting class storylines.
3 things I like :
1) AOE like man and watching the ground crumple beneath me;
2) DS;
3) The skill level to play the profession successfully.
First, this is intended for pve mainly, pvp will never be balanced and people will never stop crying, I may have my own opinions, but I don’t want devs to enforce them onto others.
Secondly, don’t worry if you just stumbled onto the forums, Necromancer is a darn good and fun class, sure we have some bugs, but that doesn’t make the whole class bad or poor, and if you want to keep your sanity and opinion unpolluted, you should probably leave this forum, because unlike other class forums, people have joined the hate bandwagon and it’s on a highway to hell.
I’d like to hear the good parts of the class!
#1: Summoning a black scythe while using staff is just so darn cool!
#2: I can viably swap between a heavy condition aoe staff and a hard hitting, fast double daggers for two very different playstyles.
#3: Insane survival rating with Death Shroud.
We don’t need a feel-good “let’s all sing koombaya” thread. We need the kitten bugs fixed.
Ramza don’t worry about the last poster…he/she has their panties in a bunch because he/she/it doesn’t have the patience to wait for them to fix it like most of the other qq’ers on here.
Hate to burst your bubble BCDragon, but like a few people have said before, we were suppose to get some love in bwe1 and we were told it was comming. What we got was a scepter nerf, so please, if you have some inside info on when we will get this patch let us know. We’ve already been waiting for a long time…
OP: 1. Aoe havoc on the keep walls
2. So many fields as well spec
3. Fun as heck/highest skill ceiling
1) I still do great damage, despite what other people say it just takes more skill than playing a warrior or a thief
2) I can solo huge mobs of enemies even with veterans mixed in, never going below 50% hp and without using minons
3) I am almost always the last one alive when my dungeon group wipes, and sometimes I can even finish off the boss or mob before they get back.
4) I can tank as a caster and still do great damage
5) The green effects from spells are just awesome
6) The scythe from using necrotic grasp
7) Death Shroud looks sick and is sick
8) I can perform lots of AoE combos with my wells and marks.
9) Plague, just such an awesome skill, AoE blind spam is amazing
10) I have so much that I like about this class that I don’t feel like sitting here typing it all out when I could be playing my necromancer
I like all the points people have posted so far, especially the Aoe havoc on wvw keep walls, that is comedy gold when combined with Epidemic to spread the conditions even more and targetable wells.
I personally enjoy the aoe of a mage type with the health of a guardian, it’s just so much fun to pull large groups and then maim them, made a few people stop and ask me how I did that.
I personally don’t look bad at the bugs, but rather happen to think more along lines of “If I can do all this bugged, ermergerd the stuff I will do when we’re fixed!”
Consider this a grace period to let the other classes feel good bout themself before we roflcopter them

2) Lich form
3) Consume Conditions (3 would have been stability and CC break with DS if they wouldnt have removed it and killed most chances of having a good DS focused build)

The Flesh Golem in PVP it’s amazing. Player ussualy ignore them.. but i put them the traits of 30% damage, and siphon health. They have an AOE knowback and do pretty good damage :-)

My flesh golem in pvp has always gotten focused down pretty quickly. I have used him in WvW to take sentries / supply camps but that is about it.
No list of 3 yet, my necro is only lvl 12. I gotta say the class iskittenfun so far. I have an 80 Guardian and wanted to try something a bit different and so far im having a blast with necro. Throwing a ton of conditions onto every enemy near you is just awesome.
I can read just fine and I know exactly what he said. I get that onedoesnotsimply fix a class… but until these changes are live, I don’t believe a word of it. Check out todays patch
notes, good thing a couple of our bugs wer… Err
All I’m saying is these bugs have been around for awhile, and its just disheartening to see every class get tweaks and buffs and quality of life fixes and were suppose to “use ds moar”. I hope Jon comes through don’t get me wrong. Just sceptical.

I was thinking about looking at the forums here yesterday to get some insight and advice and I told myself I shouldn’t, because if you’ve ever read one MMO’s forum, you’ve read them all. Incessant complaints about “[insert your complaint]-fests”, how “useless” skills are, how the devs hate players and everything they do is a “slap in the face”, etc. Not even the language changes. So I try to look into a positive thread and the nay-sayers can’t resist adding their negativity here too.
I’m convinced some people just like to complain and be a victim. You’ll notice they all seem to log hours and hours in the game and they know all the ins and outs of their class(es). The worst offenders can’t bring themselves to say anything good about the game. The giant elephant in the room looming question is, of course, why do you play? They never answer that one. Apparently complaining is actually part of the fun for them, maybe subconsciously. I think sometimes it’s a variation on griefing – the joy some people get in ruining other’s fun.
Now I need to do myself a favor and avoid getting sucked into the morass.
I honestly think the Necro is a fine class and I love mine, but there is one major problem I have. For some reason when I’m defending in WvW I don’t get the repel exp/karma at the end of the timer. It doesn’t matter how many people I hit with marks or how many people I kill, it always acts like I took NO part in the defense at all. But if I should at any point man a siege weapon and hit one person, then I get the exp/karma.
Has any other staff using Necros had this problem? It’s a major issue for me seeing as how I’m missing out on quite a bit of exp/karma.

So you mean to say that our pointing out that our skills are broken, that we do in fact have traits that don’t work, is some how a problem with us? Sorry but there are a lot of Necro players on this forum that just point out what is broken, because its BROKEN. We have a lot of things that are so bugged that they are in fact broken. Those saying the Necro are fine, are either talking about the condition build that most players already say is fine. Or they talk about PVE (world questing) or WvW. World PVE is not hard and is easy on all Prof, also in world pve its not a matter of being more survivable than others as all that matters is damage(after all you can’t tank a mob to death). This is something we lack, putting us behind all other prof. Than there is WvW were players skill, moving, and really build does not matter. Most of the time your in a zerg or large group were the problems with the Prof don’t surface. In fact its overshadowed by the fact that Epidemic is perhaps the best skill in the game, across all Prof.
There is only two places that the balance between the Prof matters, tPVP and Dungeons. In both cases we have a true lack of viable builds. Until we get all the bugs fixed we are UP compared to other Prof’s. It will only be after the bugs are fixed can we truly test the Necro Prof.
