There's a way for a necro to kill a guardian?
learn to dodge the f1 spear and true shots, and manage your LOS to coincide with your cooldowns rather than theirs
maintain range and keep flipping their boons
greedy use of CTTB! can help you maintain your position
plenty. but it does requires skill and thought. Few propositions for you:
stability – he can’t pull/push you if you got stability on you. Foot in the grave is your
“short stab needed” friend, though reaper’s reaper shroud pulsing stab is where it’s at vs cc. your elites solve that problem too.
protection – guard can do a lot, but removing boons is not one of them. You cast protection, he can’t do jack about it.
plaugue elite – laugh at his traps, damage and cc in his face. Once his bursts are done you can leave plague and get down to business.
Unblockable harass – necro has a lot of unblockables. From corrupting boons, to well of suffering that hits like a truck with power damage.
Corrosive poison cloud – destroys projectiles, poisons, weakens and is ublockable. He won’t be a happy camper when you cast it on him, or yourself if you want maximum security vs his longbow power shots.
Corrupt boon – his stab becomes fear, regeneration poison, retalliation confusion…oh and it’s unblockable too, also on short cooldown if traited (10s).
Staff harass – if traited in soul reaping, it’s marks become unblockable. You know what to do from there:)
Axe harass – axe attacks while ranged are not counted as projectiles and all his projectile blocks mean squat vs axe. he can block it, but there’s a limit to how much he can block.
Generally in real combat all of this advice will be bad at best. While it does work, it works in conjuction with on another and when you’re comfortable with necro to the point of instictively using the right skill at the right situation, and not thinking for 5 seconds what to press in this situation. You’ll just need to work on your necro reflexes and appropriate fast reaction to dh burst (and many others).
Corrosive poison cloud – destroys projectiles, poisons, weakens and is ublockable. He won’t be a happy camper when you cast it on him, or yourself if you want maximum security vs his longbow power shots.
this + Boons trip and DH shouldnt be a real issue.
Warriors however if u see them dont bother

Actually i use another build than the common one. A “personal” Course-Death-Reaper, that work really good against more or less everyone, but not against guardians XD
Anyway, Zegthe, how kind of build Have I to use to obtain similar things?
If I play the common one, I will lose more or less half of my damage if I don’t use burn in RS. Also I have not CPC and Wells. And more or less, I will never use wells, expecially why they’re for Power builds only and my direct damage isn’t enough to be good. Also they have a insane cooldown compared to all the otehr skills I can use.
The Axe is the worst weapon for sPvP.
I also have not protection. I can try to obtain a skill/trait to obtain it but it’s not in my build and more or less no one use Spectral Armor why the Wurm is better (damage, movement, good to flee from guardian traps and damage). But I can try it.
For the stability I’ve it only in my elite shout and in RS3, but if I don’t active it immediatly before the enemy start his combo, I’m not able to active it before he kill me. And not always I’m able to enter RS at the start of the fight.
I use the CPC, but it don’t stop the F1, making me pulled and die easy anyway.
I’ve a lot to learn and there’s for shure something I can try to at last don’t be so easy to kill.
Thx all for your help
Hope the following helps.
-The one thing you absolutely have to dodge is True Shot. This is the most obvious animation they have, they crouch down and you will have less than a second to react to that and dodge. It hurts like a mother and often if you are hit with one, you can’t recover due to the way our builds work.
-Don’t randomly dodge arrow shots, I know they look scary, but only True Shot really hurts. And I know it’s uncomfortable to get tethered by their F1 (spear of justice) skill. I find that it’s too hard to dodge spear of justice since it’s a 1/4 sec cast, so I wouldn’t waste a dodge on that because you have a high chance of not evading it. Often once you’ve wasted your dodge, you won’t be able to dodge out of their traps or another True Shot, where they really put a hurt on you.
Also once tethered, you can’t dodge out of it. I see people try to dodge when tethered, it doesn’t do anything, so don’t waste dodges. Only thing you can do is try to leap out of range because out of range is the only way you break from the tether.
-You need to fit some sort of damage mitigation into your build. Wurm is so last year. Count the number of times people follow after your port thinking you were safe… That thief, rev, guardian, and even mez teleport right on top of you and killing you anyways. Or that necro condi bombing you right after your port, happens too often when fighting decent players. You should take either Rise or Spectral Armor. I personally take both, but since you run a signet build, you only have room for 1 util swap.
Speaking of Guardians, Rise works great vs Guards because minions pop the traps. So instead of you eating the traps, your minions would do it for you. Spectral Armor is also good for quick 33% damage mitigation while gaining lifeforce, allowing you to pop right back into shroud after. Just remember, you can’t do damage while you’re dead. Damage mitigation skills will help you survive and not get rolled so quickly (except when you’re being focused in a brawl).
-You don’t have Soul Reaping, this is where you’re hurting mechanically. Unblockable staff marks really help against guardians due to the amount of blocks they have. I’m not sure the specifics of your build, but without unblockable marks, your attacks will be blocked very often. Your staff is part of the key to beating a guardian. Part of what you need to do is to keep corrupting their boons and stacking condi’s, but part of the strategy is waiting for them to make that leap (where they cleanse), then go to town with all your marks leading off with your fear mark, go through your rotations and bring out scepter and load them up.
-Not going to lie, if you have no lifeforce when you engage, you’re likely going to die. So pick your fights carefully. It’s part of PvP, knowing when to engage when fights are in your favor, while also knowing when you’ve lost and to disengage or rotate with others.
-You should be +1 in fights rather than try to solo classes. In the current meta we are nowhere near a good 1v1 class. Classes we can beat take too long to kill and decent players would’ve rotated a +1 to roll us over before fights end. Many classes have great mobility so they can +1 onto us in a 1v1 much quicker than we can take down most classes 1v1.
Now I changed my build. The other build is funnier, but now I use the corruption mancer and I think I will change into the “meta”.
I know that I have not to engage any 1vs1 and my only role is to corrupt boons; the only thing the necro is able to do now that our dps is low and everyone can kill us easy.
Sometimes I’m facing enemies in 1vs1 even when there’s a team fight, expecially for guardians and revenants. A reve sword3 steal me half of my HP and they need just another skill to down me, same speed for the dh.
I start always the fight “late” then the enemy have alredy his target and I’m free to boon corrupt for some seconds before a good player see me and start to burst me down.
We was really a good class before that nerfs, now we are merely a damage support class. We’re strong in that, making the enemy weaker and easier to kill, but for everything else we’re the worst class of all.
I will try some more days then I will reroll revenant or warrior, just to not be a free kill for the enemy team.
A major thing you need to understand about Dragonhunter is how reliant they are on nailing you with the Spear of Justice-Trap Stack wombo combo to get off most of their spike damage. Something noteworthy is that while the animation and flight speed of Spear of Justice is very fast, the actual pull is much slower with a distinct animation. What I like to do is let them hit me with the Spear, and then use a stun break as they pull me. It’s an easy way to put the skill on full CD (The pull has a separate and much longer CD than Spear of Justice itself) without it actually having a major effect on you.

All the tips here are pretty solid but I just want to add that Soul Reaping would probably help a ton as well.
I don’t know about other Necro’s but personally I can’t make a build without Soul Reaping. Much like Warrior with Defence, it just has too many good things in it to not take it.

I haven’t seen it mentioned, but remember that Death’s Charge blocks projectiles. You can use it to protect yourself from True Shot without using a dodge.
