They are not unblockable
I believe a Corrupt Boon was blocked by an engineer using the “gear” shield skill. He didn’t dodge, was just in front of me and his boons remained while my skill went on full cooldown.
Need more tests.
I had my corrupt boon blocked by a warrior shield block. I guess it only ignores Aegis but is still “blocked” in the traditional sense.
They either completely dropped the ball on this or will state that block was a bad choice of wording and blame it on semantics.
Got it blocked by Aegis 10 mins ago in wvw, and also looks like sometimes it gets obstructed by grass lol.

These are both “l2p” issues in that you need to l2notspecepidemicinwvw. It has been garbage since last patch. It’s a real shame, because it used to have really interesting and fun gameplay.

Epidemic can still be blinded…those female NPCs with the pistols throw out blinds like crazy.

It would not really surprise me if it was not actually working. Again I haven’t tested it yet, because I have forsaken epidemic currently, and I don’t care for corrupt boon as a general moving around in wvw skill.
Dark Path is bypassing Aegis, and has been since a patch or two ago, but I have not see it hit through a hard block (like what the guardians/eles/warriors do). Corrupt boon was working on aegis a patch or two ago (or longer), but not actually bypassing block skills either.
My guess is, they made it so aegis doesn’t stop epidemic, and that was really the only change. The BLOCK that simulates invulnerability, likely still stops both CB and epi.
Let me know how the testing goes Bas.
I wouldn’t consider my test definitive against all forms of block but post patch in dueling servers I have had it appear to work successfully when used against a guardian focus block and aegis.

Well the change obviously was for PvP, so the fact it can still be blocked by certain PvE mobs may be intended. I’m pretty sure I CB’ed through Aegis and Shelter last night though.
Quick test… go epidemic one of those crabs just north of Lions Arch while its blocking to see if it works.
EDIT: Tested, epidemic hits the crabs while they are blocking. Think this may be on a case-by-case basis… as in the guaridan block doesn’t stop CB and epidemic, but the engineer one might?

Oh really? So that is a completely wrong patch note then… that is sad…
Dark Path was made unblockable last patch. Did you notice CB and Epi not going through blocks in WvW? Like I posted above, CB went through a block in sPvP for me yesterday.
Oh thank god… Everytime I go to use Corrupt boon in WvW while someone has Aegis, I get BLOCKED even though the skill says Unblockable.
