Staff:
1. Why must i be close to my enemy to receive my regen effect frommark of blood when its a 1200 range weapon
2. Why is staff projectile a 20% chance of being a finisher?
3.Why is staff projectile slow in reaching its target? In a fast paced game people are moving around dipping and dodging, its hardly reliable in doing damage.
4. Spiteful marks: Why is it marks only? Our projectile could use some love.
5. Why isn’t greater marks default?

Axe:
1. Why isn’t unholy feast a blast finisher?

2. Rending claws was broken in beta because of its speed… this isnt beta anymore other classes have been buffed this needs to have its attack speed increased again, in its current form its pretty useless in pvp.

3. Why isn’t axe a 900 yd range? Or atleast make ghastly claws 900 yd it. It sucks being in position for a ghastly claw attack only to have your target run away and cancel out your whole attack…. I need to stay in 300yd range on a 600yd weapon to successfully channel the entire 600yd ability.

4. Retaliation: Its possible to keep retaliation up close to 100% of the time with retal in DS retal from unholy feast and retal on heal, but the point of axe is to stay away from my target as much as possible while dealing damage. Whats the point of my retaliation if im trying to keep away? Wouldent this be better on a Life steal dagger necro? I cripple my target with unholy feast to run away but i gain retal which benefits from me being beat on, doesnt make sense to me…we would be better off with a 1 second aoe fear on unholy feast. Or maybe an aoe boon removal as in feasting on boons

War Horn:
Locust Swarm: Grants swiftness, gain LF, cripples and deals damage when hitting players. One of my favorite ways of using this ability is jumping into death shroud and rushing into a group of players and using life transfer… the LF gain is nice if enough players are around, but this is primarily our escape move and Life force regen doesnt apply when running away from players.

Signet of the locust: Why does this signet seem much more effective in spvp than in wvw?

Why do i have 2 second casts on abilitys that should be instant?

Why does it take so long for shadow fiend and bone fiend to respond when activating their abilitys?

Why does bone fiends immobilize fail 99% of the time?

Why is bone and wurm minion spawn animation so horribly long?

Answer to every question is either:
Because ANet felt this was the best decision for gameplay/balance
Because of mechanics/graphic interplay that causes some things to bug out

1. Because it would be full up-time regeneration for you, which would be arguably too powerful. It is a good argument though, since mark 4 takes your conditions off even if you aren’t in the circle.

2. Most projectiles that are spammable are not 100%.

3. It pierces, and arguably its an asthetic choice, since a hand flying out at massive speed would be counter-intuitive to black magic and the eeeeevvvvilllnessss of it all. Slow approach of death and all that non-sense.

4. Not sure why it would be more than marks? Its a trait called spiteful “MARKS”. I get that you are saying that it would be better if it was staff and skills, but engineers have traits like this (only grenades, only bombs) etc.

5. Completely agree. Lesser marks are trash, complete trash.

Axe
1. It could be, it wouldn’t be that overpowered…. but apparently we have enough B finishers right now they think.

2. I think many people would argue with you on this. Sounds like an opinion.

3. Because we already have a 900 distance mainhand. Its a variety/flavor thing. No reason to have that overlap.

4. Always seemed fine to me. The cripple is to keep them off you, the retal is to punish them if they make it to you…. Not sure your point on this. Boon removal would be nice, but we have lots of that as is compared to others. (Except thieves now).

I use locust all the time in WvW…. it seems fine there?

What takes 2 seconds to cast? Most of our 3/4 to 1 second casts should be reduced to 1/4 and 1/2 seconds respectively, but I don’t know of any really long casts that are a pain other than focus 5, which is very strong in what it does (although too easy to dodge).

I don’t do minions so I won’t answer those.

In my opinion the axe could really use some love. 600 feels awkward, and its damage is too low for being 600 range. Ghastly claws and Unholy feast are the only redeeming factors, but dagger mh still has about as much burst on no cooldown. A blast finisher would go a long way in helping out necros as we only have two at the moment.

I’d also like it if Wail of Doom would actually hit intelligently, missing when I see the cone hit them is really frustrating.

This. The worst part is no untargeted swiping which really cripples you vs. thieves and mesmer stealths. If the axe trait were not GM it would help some but I would still not go axe because generally as the CC from dagger mainhand trumps anything axe has to offer. CC is God in PVP and the siphon is not too bad either (on the times you actually get one off uninterrupted). I can see the justification for axe in a minion build, but minions are horrible in PVP. If that bone fiend immobilize worked it might be different, but it doesn’t.
