Hey guys,
I have a level 60 necromancer and I thought it was a good idea to share my build and get some feedback on it. I primarly focused my necromancer around condition stacking and all around condition damage. I use a scepter/dagger and staff combo because the scepter/dagger provides a variety of conditions and condition removal while feast of corruption is a large single target dps. For traits I’m planning to go 30 spite 30 curses 10 soul reaping. For utilities, I have Blood is Power, Epidemic, and Signet of the Locust (PvE) or a Well when in a dungeon (I don’t pvp very much). Elite is lich form of course.

I don’t really know – I see a lot of ppl going full on wells for conditions. I’m not sure but I just haven’t really gotten into them.

believe me, it’s one of the most used builds for necromancer.

i’d recommend using bip, signet of spite and epidemic as utility and consume condition as healing.
both lich form and plague are great elite skills. u should use both, depending on the situation. lich form is for dmgdealing, plague is better if u want to mantain some conditions on your enemies.

u should choose between rabid and carrion sets if u want to do the conditionmancer. which one is up to you.

more precision and toughness or power and vitality?

i prefer carrion for a lot of reasons, like increasing base dmg instead of hoping in crit attacks when in lich/ds form and because your ds pool increases with your max health.

there are a couple ofc but i think it would be pointless writing all of them here

Thanks for the feedback!
I’ve been using carrion and it works great – of course, the signet of spite suggestion was great as well. I’d never even noticed it until you mentioned it, 4 conditions? Wow!

I run the same thing just about, i have 1/2 afflicted runes 1/2 krait giving me over 100 bleed duration without food, and 2 sigils of earth on scepter/dagger i can hold 20 stacks of bleed on a boss solo. Bleeds tick once a second and i do ~110 unbuffed ticks, that’s over 2k dps just in bleeds, pushing over 3k dps with auto attack and poison.

2 sigils of earth on scepter/dagger

Are you aware that they share their internal cooldown? All you get by having 2 Sigils of Earth is a 84% chance to proc instead of 60%.

Full Rabid + Runes of the Undead
Sigil of Corruption Dagger / Sigil of Earth on Scepter

I prefer this setup over carrion because it provides more condition damage.

For the Carrion vs Rabid debate, if you’re going 30 points into curses the two stats the trait gives you are precision and condition damage, Rabid has precision and condition damage. You also have a chance to cause bleeds on crit from traits as well as Sigil of Earth. Scepter is by far the best condition main hand weapon in the Necromancer’s arsenal. The scepter is not a power weapon, it was designed for condition damage. I find power to be useless when wielding a scepter and prefer Rabid gear for toughness. With Rune of the Undead you gain extra condition damage from toughness. With a Master Tuning Crystal you gain 6% condition damage from toughness and only 4% condition damage from vitality.
