The necro at the end admitted when I talked to him he had shelved his necro a long time ago. The reason I left that in, and the other fight where I instagibbed myself when that same necro tossed my conditions back at me was just to illustrate the large burst potential with the addition of tainted shackles and burning.
In condi necro vs. condi necro, it was always about who passed the conditions back the last time that won… and when you add in 6 stacks of torment and burning… well… it just that into a really really hot potato.
I am planning on getting some better duels later, but these were just to show the burst/mechanic.
Nice. A suggestion: look into improving your Life Force generation. A lot of those fights (especially one of the Guardian ones) could’ve ended a lot more quickly except you were constantly at low Life Force.

Everything I say is only in reference to PvE and WvW.

Such is the current problem with running 30/30/10/0/0. If you don’t auto attack much on staff, your only generation comes from utilities and sceptor 3 (epidemic gives none, BIP gives none, and spectral wall may or may not give you much).
Like any sceptor focused build, your life force generation is low. My old build, which was 0/30/10/10/20, had less of an issue, but was still constantly starved for life force.
I need to school myself on casting the sceptor 3 skill more often, but it still generates a piddly amount of life force compared to so many other options. One of the reasons I think I will settle on using WarHorn still, is that the locust swarm still generates a ton of life force.
I am debating potentially running axe/focus, just to get life force on the swap, and switch back to sceptor. Life force is so much more valuable now with the new condition, and the longer fear durations, it may be worth sacking something else to improve that.
I know what you mean about the rough LF generation (I use Scepter+Dagger/Staff for condis), but that’s why you need to get in the habit of using Scepter 3 whenever it’s off cooldown and they have a few conditions and autoattacking with the Staff here and there. It’s even easier to hit now that the projectile moves faster. In WvW, it can also help to try to find Ambient creatures nearbye and land a Staff auto on them. I’ll sometimes try to shift skirmishes near them in the hopes that someone (me or the enemy) will hit them with some AoE splash.
