so i was just wondering, and havent had the time to test this yet, but are the CD for the fear induced from the traits “reaper’s protection” and “fear of death” linked?

for example, if im immobilized and my opponents get feared away but manage to return and down me in say 20 secs (before the 90 sec CD from the previous fear from reapers protection is up) will the fear thats supposed to be induced by getting downed from the trait fear of death still be applied? or will it not be due the fear from being immobilized 20 secs prior?

There is something bugged about fear traits.

Sometime with Fear of death, when you get downed your fear doesn’t cast. Or another thing that happens is your fear cast, but your downed state fear is on CD. Those 2 thing happenned to me, but I didn’t test it with reaper protection.

But if it’s not a bug, and they are linked, it really bad design Fear cd linked is cheap!

i was just experimenting with the traits and i thought “what if i made it so i feared a lot, fear lasted longer, did damage, and could be spammed?”

would make for a great way to hold points, would it not? but im thinking Anet linked them to avoid fear spamming, i also just havent tested it out yet lol
