So even with all the great suggestions people have made to improve our messy (and sometimes useless) traits, I always sort of assumed it would never happen post-beta. But browsing the other profession’s sections on these forums I came across this!

Yes, a red post from none other than JP himself on a trait rework thread confirming (at least that’s how I see it) that at least two changes will be made to the ele’s traits. Seeing this has given me much hope!

Ofcourse they are still possible, but i highly doubt that they are on the scale you expect them to be. Anet already said that changes will happen slowley.
Also, one of our traits will also be changed. Gluttony will be fixed and gets bugged… i mean buffed, as confirmed by JP. Maybe they will do some other small changes (tweak numbers etc) but i doubt that they will move around traits or add/remove some. Untill a new expansion that is.

J Sharp mentioned in his interview the other day that more viable build options is something that’s being worked on across all classes. I would imagine this is something that will pop up on all the class boards at some point.

I have a feeling Necros need more bugs fixed and some further development in our meta before we’re really ready to assess trait changes. Sure there are some obvious ones but until we see how some things actually work (Gluttony, Vampiric scaling, etc.) I’m not sure we can get an accurate idea of what the class is missing or need of changing (outside of reanimator of course, that just needs to go :P )

I know about Gluttony and I’m so excited for it! Just from reading that ele post though, it seems that they’re combining two traits into one to make room for a new trait for reduced fall damage as ele’s currently lack it.

If they’re willing to combine and add new traits then I don’t see any reason why they couldn’t or wouldn’t be willing to play with our traits. I’m not expecting it of course, but just the fact that I know they’re now willing to make these changes has me hopeful for a brighter Necro future
