Transmuting Wraith Masque at 80
I haven’t found a mask that I like better than the Wraith Masque from character creation, but it doesn’t have an upgrade slot. So when I went to transmute it to my level 80 mask with a crest, the crest disappeared and it looked like I wouldn’t be able to reapply it because the Wraith Masque has no upgrade slot. I am using the level 80 transmute stones. Am I missing something?
Does anyone know of a way to transmute it’s appearance to a mask without giving up an upgrade slot?
i use wraith mask for my level 80 set, and it has always had an upgrade slot (i transmuted it several times leveling up). i would submit a bug report.

Make sure that when you transmute it with a level 80 item, you choose the top part (appearance) of the wraith mask and the middle part of the level 80 item (stats). If you do this, it will work and give you an upgrade slot. (If there is an upgrade in the level 80 item, you could move that over to the transmutation as well)

i have transmuted my Wraith Masque from newb to level 80 and since i first transmuted the look onto an item with an upgrade slot it has had an upgrade slot
Thanks for your input, it was very helpful. It probably was a bug. I tried it again and as soon as I dropped the wraith mask into the box, the upgrade slot disappeared.
For anyone else that runs across this problem, what I had to do was first transmute the wraith mask onto a basic Acolyte Cowl (level 20 something), and then transmute that onto my level 80 mask. Doing so kept the upgrade slot (and the crest that was in it), as well as the wraith mask’s appearance.
Are you using the correct transmute stone? The level 80 one, that is. If not, that could be the issue.
